Highlights

Bicycle from Yanamayo - Ocobamba

Ollantaytambo - Pick up from your hotel at 5:00 am. We will travel by car through the Sacred Valley passing by Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. We will have breakfast in the town of Ollantaytambo and go up the valley of Patacancha.

Ocobamba - After 2 hours, we will arrive at the Yanamayo pass at 4300 masl. We will start descending through a road surrounded by mountains with vegetation typical of the Andean heights. As we lose altitude the ecosystem will change from Andean highlands to jungle, we will observe fruit trees of bananas, oranges, coffee, cocoa. Our descent will culminate in the town of Ocobamba 3:00 pm approximately, we will have lunch for 1 hour.

Quillabamba - After lunch in Ocobamba, we will board the car and drive to the town of Quillabamba. Approximately the trip lasts 5 hours, the weather is hot and tropical. 8:30pm, we will have dinner and rest at our hotel.

Quillabamba Santa Teresa - Cocalmayo hot springs

Aguas Termales Cocalmayo de Santa Teresa - We will start at 8:00 a.m. having breakfast with a good coffee. Then we will go by car for 45 minutes to Cochapampa. 10:00 am Here we will prepare our bicycles to start our bike tour on a road that goes through the Quillabambina jungle. Our guide will make a few stops as we descend to taste some of the fruit and take a closer look at the coffee plantations and if it is in season, appreciate coca plantations.

1:00 pm we will arrive at Santa Teresa and have lunch in a hut for about 1 hour. Afterwards, we will continue descending to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo where we will relax our body with a good hot water bath next to the Vilcanota River. We will rest in the village of Santateresa.

Hydroelectric hike Aguas Calientes

Hidroeléctrica - After breakfast at 9:00 am our transportation will take us to the hydroelectric plant, where the trail to the town of Aguas Calientes begins. The time by car is approximately 1 hour. From the hydroelectric plant, we will start our hike around 10:30 am.

Aguas Calientes - 10:30 am, we start the hike to the town of Aguas Calientes located in Machu Picchu. The hike has a duration of approximately 3 hours and the trail is located next to the railway line. The slope of this hike is 425 meters positive and 243 meters negative, considered a trail of easy difficulty. As we walk, we will observe the beautiful ecosystem of the area, tropical trees will accompany our adventure as we walk. We will arrive to Aguas Calientes around 2 pm. We will have lunch in Aguas Calientes and have the afternoon free.

Visit Machu Picchu

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Our last day and the most awaited, we will visit Machu Picchu, our guide will transfer you to the bus station at 7 am. The car will go up the mountain where you can appreciate a spectacular mountain scenery bordered by the great Vilcanota River. Arriving at the top we will check in and show our tickets to visit Machu Picchu.

While walking through its enigmatic streets, our guide will tell you much about the history of Machu Picchu, there will be moments to take many pictures and record our great adventure through this wonder of the world. After two hours of visit, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, we will have lunch while waiting for the arrival of our train.

Cusco - We will return to the city of Cusco at 2:45 pm in the afternoon. Our vehicle will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel at the end of our tour.

Discover a new way to travel to one of the wonders of the modern world, Machu Picchu. We will start our trip descending by bike from the Yanamayo pass, a place that will allow us to observe the Andean landscape of Cusco and we will arrive to Ocobamba, a tropical and warm area.

On day 2 we will continue our journey by bicycle through the lower jungle of Cusco from the town of Cochapampa to the hot springs of Coclamayo, where we will relax the body in its medicinal waters and observe the agriculture of the people of Quillabamba as we descend by bicycle.

Day 3, we will walk from the hydroelectric plant to Aguas Calientes through a trail near the Vilcanota river and full of amazing landscapes bordering the lower part of the Huayna Picchu mountain.

On day 4, we will finally get to know Machu Picchu and discover its history and the mysteries that it still hides to this day in a 3 hour tour. We will return to Cusco on a magnificent train ride.
