DAY 01: CUSCO - MOLLEPATA

Salkantay Trail - Our experience begins with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 04:30 am to go in our tourist transport to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy our full breakfast and then continue our trip in the same transport until we reach Callacancha ( 3600 masl / 11,811 masl) which is the starting point of the walk that we will have towards the town of Soraypampa (3900 masl / 12,795 feet), our walk lasts approximately 3 hours in which we will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna of the Peruvian Andes, upon arrival we will take a break and enjoy our lunch. After a rest we will visit the beautiful Humantay lagoon (4200 masl / 11 840 feet) and finally we will return to this point to enjoy dinner and rest comfortably.

Machu Picchu “natural” - I did the Salkantay road with my girlfriend and we went with Peru Top Experience on Recommendation of friends. The tour is spectacular, although demanding. I recommend making sure you are in good physical condition to enjoy it. You will know the “natural” part of the road to Machu Picchu (unlike the Inca Trail which is more cultural). — Separate paragraph for our Guide William, a freak. In addition to knowing a lot about Inca history and the road, he is a super friendly, companion and didactic person. He has a lot of insight to understand the needs of the group and adapt the trip to them. Together with Fausto (our cook), they made a great team, super resolute (they helped me recover money that I had forgotten in a camp hours away by coordinating the solution between those responsible for different camps so that one would give me the money I had left in the other), and made sure that we were always comfortable and at ease. I recommend you ask to travel with the two of you! You will not regret :)

Excelenteeee! Thank you William!! - We did the 4 day Salkantay trek and it was amazing! We walked through the mountain seeing spectacular scenery until we reached Aguas Calientes, where the reward on the last day was to reach Machu Picchu. I recommend taking the entrance to Waynapicchu! Special thanks to William who accompanied us step by step telling us in detail all about Cuzco and its culture and of course everything about Machu Picchu. Ask that the tour be with him! And with Faust, the chef. They're a great team!

The best trek from Salkantay to Machu Picchu - This experience was the best that could have happened to me, I didn't know I needed this trip until I did it, the hike from Salkantay to Machupicchu was a great choice. The landscapes were incredible, the path beautiful and the company unmatched. The attention that those from Peru Top Experience gave us was the best, the best food and the best stay. A trip that can reunite you with yourself and without a doubt you would repeat it again.
