Penang Island - Cameron Highlands (Recommended hotel: Camerons Resort)

Cameron Highlands - 8am Meet and greet at your Penang hotel and depart for Cameron Highlands - a hill resort with cool temperatures, vast tea plantations, farmlands.
Tea plantations work closely with WWF in conservation of critically endangered mammals like tigers, elephants, tapirs. sun bears etc. It is a wonderful feeling to sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe to catch a bird’s eye view of lust carpet of greenery below. Take a stroll through the rolling hills for photo shoots. Visit Butterfly Farm - a paradise for butterflies and live stick insects, scorpions, beetles etc . The market sells vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. Check in to hotel.
7pm Complimentary dinner is “HOT POT”. Bring sweaters as the nites are cold.

Camerons - Rainforest Taman Negara (Recommended hotel: Mutiara Resort)

Taman Negara National Park - 7am Depart for Taman Negara - a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with tigers, elephants, tapirs, 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species… and scattered aborigine villages. On arrival at Kuala Tahan, Taman Negara complimentary local lunch at floating Cafe. Check in to hotel. Free and easy.
7pm Join nature guide for the Night Jungle walk to look for spiders, scorpions, snakes, mouse deer, wild boars … foraging for food.. Return to hotel Free and easy.

Rainforest Taman Negara Day tour

Taman Negara Canopy Walkway - 8am Jungle trek with Nature Guide to the Canopy Walkway (Fridays closed) to catch a glimpse of one of the oldest rainforest in the world. The boatman negotiates gushing waters to reach an aborigine village for a fire making and blowpipe demonstration. You can partake in the activities.
The aborigines are naive people and their supermarket is the rainforest. The Nature Guide belts out facts and taboos of Taman Negara as he takes you trekking to a virgin Waterfalls for a cool dip - a therapeutic stress reliever, they say. Return to hotel. Free and easy.

Taman Negara - Kuala Lumpur (Recommended hotel Traders KLCC)

Kuala Lumpur - 10am Depart for Kuala Lumpur and visit the iconic Batu Caves. Climb 272 steps into temple of Hindu Deity honored during Hindu festivals. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to have their knees and shoulders covered when entering the temple. Check in to hotel. Free and easy

Kuala Lumpur City Highlights

Kuala Lumpur - 8am Depart for City Highlights tour of Kuala Lumpur - a potpouri of diverse cultures as in Malays, Chinese and Indians. Visit colonial landmarks of British architecture as in Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Jamek Mosque, St Mary’s Cathedral. Melaka - 8am Depart for Malacca - a melting pot of history, a UNESCO Heritage site with much influence by the Portuguese and the Dutch. Visit St Paul’s Hill, A Famosa - the Portuguese Fort, Stadthuys - the Dutch Museum. Catch a trishaw ride to Jonkers’ Street - the street of antiquities, many restaurants and budget hotels. The 15th Century Chinese and Indian migrants have made Chinatown (Jonkers’) as their home. A diversity of cultures. Check in to hotel. You could re-visit Jonkers’ on your own as the hotel is in Jonkers’ itself.

Malacca - Singapore drop off

Johor Bahru - 8am Depart for the border checkpoint of Johore Bahru for immigration clearance. Please have all your documents in order for entry into Singapore. Guide will organise transfer into Singapore and ensure all in order before saying good bye to you. End of program.
