Highlights

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, our guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park via Arusha town, through the Great Northern highway and across the Masai steppe. Tarangire is the fifth largest national park in Tanzania, located at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley. Its landscape features low-lying hills of acacia woodland, giant baobab trees, and savannah grassland. You will observe large populations of elephants, the Tarangire River which is the only permanent water source in the park, and the enormous baobab trees that dwarf the animals beneath them. Expect to see herds of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species. Primates such as baboons, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys also inhabit the park. Lions, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard, which requires keen eyes to spot, can also be seen. Afterward, you will drive across the Great East African Rift Valley for sunset and head to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or a similar accommodation in Karatu town.

Karatu– Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic highland farmland of Karatu and up to the Ngorongoro gate. You will drive further up and along the Crater rim, where you may stop for photos at the crater viewpoint. Then, descend to the wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park with its endless rolling plains. You will visit a Masai village where some Masai warriors will invite you and share stories about their lives, followed by a Q&A session before entering their small houses to meet their families and children.

Serengeti National Park - Later, they will perform their famous song and dance, which involves jumping high. You will continue with an en-route game drive to Naabi Hills Gate for check-in before heading to the Central Serengeti area known as Seronera. Seronera is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Serengeti, featuring the Seronera River, the main water source in the area that attracts a variety of wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. Picnic lunch will be served at the kopjes (rocky outcroppings). In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in search of the wildebeest migration, then drive to your lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Your 6-day Tanzania lodge safari continues with a full day game drive in the Serengeti. You will start as early as 06:30 with packed breakfast and lunch boxes. Early morning game drives allow you to spot the cat family on the road as they try to avoid the morning mist. You may also see nocturnal animals returning from their night hunts or a group of lionesses organizing an ambush or eating along the road. Break for breakfast in the bush, then head to where the wildebeest migration is concentrated. Spend ample time observing the migration of herds, big cats, and other wildlife. Packed lunch will be served in the bush or at one of the picnic sites in the area. You may witness various animal activities such as hunting, killing, and fighting. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Begin with the first rays of the sun at 06:30, descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a wonderful game drive. Supported by water from the highlands and ample fodder, this area is rich in wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, giant African elephants, elands, zebras, warthogs, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. The so-called Big 5, which includes lions, leopards, buffalo, black rhinos, and African elephants, can be spotted in this area during a single day of game drives. Another highlight of this picturesque crater is the dense population of predators, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard, which requires a trained eye to spot. Arusha - Continue game drives until the afternoon, then start your journey back to Arusha. If you are not flying out the same day, you can visit some Masai markets or shopping centers on your way to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon for an overnight stay. (Accommodation on this day can be arranged upon request at an extra cost.) Unforgettable - Our safari visiting Tarangire, Ngorogoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park was so much interesting and we loved it so much. Zizo planned our trip in advance after we booked it, as we exactly wanted. The trip itself was so amazing. Our guide “Sara” made our experience even better than we expected. She really loves what she is doing and is passionate about Tanzania; she has all the knowledge about the wildlife in Tanzania including animals, birds, and culture. Sara was amazing in getting us the best photos of us and animals. We can not thank you enough for all the effort that been done for us and we highly recommend this trip with them
