Highlights

Arrival and Pick up from Entebbe International Airport

Entebbe - Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our fully uniformed Company Driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - The Home of Mountain Gorillas

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After a leisurely breakfast, our Driver guide will pick you up from the lodge for a road trip to western Uganda, heading towards the Gorilla haven of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This journey takes approximately 10 hours, including a lunch stop en route. Despite the long drive, you’ll pass through diverse landscapes such as tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, often referred to as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival, you’ll check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation

Lake Bunyonyi - Start your day with an early breakfast before driving to the park headquarters for a briefing by Bwindi National Park rangers. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family to track. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows you to observe mountain gorillas as they go about their daily activities, such as feeding, playing, and grooming. The gorilla trekking can last between 2 to 8 hours, with one hour spent in the presence of the gorillas. After the trek, you can visit the Batwa People, the original forest inhabitants, for a cultural tour. Later, you’ll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a luxurious relaxation experience. Lake Bunyonyi, meaning “place of small birds,” is Africa’s second deepest lake, featuring 29 islands, each with its own unique history.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Afternoon Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge

Kyambura Game Reserve (Kyambura Gorge) - After an early breakfast, you’ll journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park and head to Kyambura Gorge Forest, also known as the underground forest, for chimpanzee trekking. The stunning Kyambura Gorge, also called the “Valley of Apes,” is located in the eastern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda. The landscape is among Uganda’s most impressive, teeming with a rich biodiversity of primates, wildlife, and birds. After the chimpanzee trekking, you’ll return to the lodge for relaxation and preparation for the next day’s safari adventure.

Safari Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Start your day early with a cup of coffee before heading out for a safari game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot wildlife such as elephants, kobs, lions, and leopards. The game drive lasts 2 to 3 hours. In the afternoon, at 2 pm, you’ll embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a 40 km waterway connecting Lake George to Lake Edward. During the cruise, you may see elephants quenching their thirst, basking crocodiles, wallowing buffalos, numerous birds, and large concentrations of hippos.

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for Your Return Flight

Entebbe - After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe Airport for your return flight, with a stopover at the Uganda Equator.

A trip to Remember - I took a 6 days safari with my girlfriend with Native Africa Tours. The safari was exceptionally good including a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Gorilla trekking and Chimps. The safari went according to the plan. The accommodation facilities were budget friendly and the services were good. I took time to interact with the locals something I love to do on every tour. Moses - the company driver guide was knowledgeable and would sometimes go off the beaten path to meet our extra demands. All can't be said here but I would definitely recommend anyone to do a Uganda tour with this company.

Value for money - I had 6 days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari with Native Africa Tour Company. Everything was good from the word go. Chris, the company Consultant was so helpful in planning the Safari. Moses the drive - guide had a vast knowledge of the destinations we went to. The highlights of the tour were mountain gorilla trekking in bwindi park and a game drive in Queen Elizabeth park. Much as I requested for budget lodging, I was offered a mixture of mid-range and budget accomodations. This did not affect my wallet. All can't be said here but I would definitely recommend anyone to travel with the company since there is value for money.

Value for Money - Excellent what they do: I had a 6 days safari with Native Africa Tours in January 2024. Moses - the Consultant was helpful from the time I made my trip request until the end. He helped me book gorilla trekking permits in time and the accommodation facilities had the value for money. The highlight of the safari was a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel - Queen Elizabeth National Park and a night at Mweya Safari Lodge. All can’t be said here but I would recommend anyone to book with Native Africa Tours since they value your money. I can’t wait to be on the trip again.
