For Us, The Only Way to Tour - What a great tour! This was with my wife and we had a great time. The drivers, guides and accommodations were excellent. Highly recommend this company. We saw so many other tours with mobs of people, this tour was so sweet since we were the only ones and it was very personal.

One of the best trips made possible by a great tour company and the best tour guide! - From airport pick up to taking us around Cairo+Alexandria then onto the Nile River cruise - our 8 days in Egypt has been nothing but amazing. Easy booking process and very reasonable price. The trip is made more amazing and memorable by our amazing tour guide - Mostafa Bn Awad. A very friendly, very knowledgeable and highly skilled tour guide.

AMAZING!!!!! - After much research into tours we found emo tours. We were still apprehensive about what we would receive and who we would have as tour guides, however we had one of our most memorable trips (we have travelled all over the world). We were so happy with our tour guides and drivers. Adel and Amr in Cairo and Ismail based in Luxor (who travelled on the mile cruise with us). They made us feel incredibly safe, knew their areas like the back of their hand and went above and beyond their roles to ensure we had an amazing trip where we didn’t have to think about anything except the moment. We would definitely recommend these guides and drivers, this tour and this tour company. Happy travellers day

Excellent tour company! - We booked a 8-day tour of Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and Abu Simbel with this company. Everything went very well. These guys are pretty well-organized. We were picked up on time the tour guides were very good. Special thanks to our guide Tito in Cairo and Mohamed Haed who transferred us from/to the airports.

Great Tour group! - I would love to give 5 stars but I just can’t, a 4.5 is what I want to give. They are an amazing tour company; they just need to iron out a few details here and there. I would defiantly recommend Emotours. The Pros: 1.Airport pickups: We had great experiences from the beginning, they were helpful and kind. Helping us with Visa and getting us to the hotel. We had the same guy pick us up all 3 times from Cairo. Two arrivals and 1 departure. I loved that he could answer all questions we had about the area or about our tour. He kindly gave me an Egyptian coin that we had been searching for the whole trip. He even tried to help me find a Starbucks that was supposed to be at the airport that for whatever reason isn’t there. We spent some time trying to find it, I wanted to add the Cairo mug to my collection of Starbucks travel mugs. I have sadly forgotten his name, but a huge shout out to him for his impeccable service and kindness. For the other airport pick up we had in Luxor she was waiting for us and was ready to rock and roll as soon as we saw her. 2.Great guides: We had 3 amazing tour guides; they were all knowledgeable and kind. They would provide us with info/history of the site were seeing then give us free time to explore. If we wanted more time they gave it to us. They waited patiently at a pre arranged meeting place or the van. Every guide gave us a goodie bag every morning with water, juice and some local snacks. Our guide in Cairo, Adel Hakem was an awesome guide. Not only giving us info on the sites but also of modern Egyptian life. He could answer any question I had about Ancient Egypt and we even bonded a bit over our common knowledge of the Italian language. I never imagined Id receive Italian lessons in Egypt!! He also taught us some Arabic. He is also a great photographer and took tons of photos for us and knew all the good places to take pictures. Our guide in Luxor and for Island temple Philea was Naama, We loved her. She was kind and incredibly smart. Again she could answer any questions I had. She could even tell us what the hieroglyphics said. She was our guide in Valley of the Kings and this is where I was really impressed. We got there and she told us of two additional tickets we could buy, one for Ramesses the 6th and another for taking pictures in the tombs. She explained if they were worth it, and trust me they are and then purchased them for us. The ticket allowing for photos is only for 3 tombs, we saw a total of 5. King Tuts tomb is no photos at all and she told me which tombs to take the ticket too. They stamp it at each one. Before we entered the tomb she would tell us all about it and even pointed out things to look for. She was even able to answer our questions on something we saw inside when she didn’t go in with us. (Apparently the guides can’t go in with you) I wish she would have been our guide for Abu Simbel also. Our last guide for Abu Simbel, whose name escapes me, was like all the others kind and very knowledgeable. He wasn’t allowed in the site with us so had pictures and explained everything with the pictures. Also all the guides are super accommodating, Many times we asked for longer free time and they gave it to us no problem. At the Egyptian museum he suggested about ½ to one hour for free time. I spent 2.5 hours in the museum. All I had to do was message him saying we were done and they picked us up no problem. We also changed our minds one day and didn’t want to go to the Bazaar that was scheduled. We asked for them to take us to the Hard Rock Café instead, which they did with no problem. They even offered to stay till we were done so we had a ride back. Ultimately we said it wasn’t necessary (were usually there for awhile) and we got an Uber back. 3.The hotels are gorgeous; we stayed in the 5 star hotels. We loved the hotel in Cairo the most. The only downfall is we wish we had rooms with a view, so I’d ask if you want one. We only had 1 bad room in Luxor, our neighbors were very noisy. But it was thankfully only one night. 4.The sites are all gorgeous, and we loved seeing all of them. This was the fastest week of my life and I wish it wasn’t over. If you’re thinking of traveling Egypt, just do it. Its an amazing experience full of magic and wonder. The cons: 1. The website needs to be updated a bit and spell checked. Plus a few things could be clarified better. Things like "transfer to Aswan", we didn’t know how we were going to transfer till the day before. I thought it was a flight, but it was a super long drive instead. Also, every tour has a section that explains what is included and excluded. They have "what’s included" but in red, should say "what’s excluded". Also, there are optional tours for this, but they never show on my computer, that part is always blank. But with that, they did answer all my questions in a timely manner. We did 3 extra tours and they were all worth it. 2. We didn’t like things being added to our tour that wasn’t on the itinerary or the website. This happened 3 times, they were stores/shops that we felt pressured to be at. A perfume store and a papyrus store in Cairo, and an alabaster store in Luxor. If they would have been on the itinerary, that would have been okay. But they were just dropped on us, we felt pressured and weird with it at two of the 3 places. We liked the papyrus but couldn’t care less for the other two. So please add them to the itinerary or leave them off. 3. Most of our pickup times were different then the itinerary stated. Not a big deal as they told us the next morning pickup time as they dropped us off. Maybe it’s something to update. 4. The day we went to Abu Simbel which was a 4 hour drive, we were picked up at 3 am, and then we arrived back in Aswan after the site. Now it’s worth it to see, but we didn’t like being at the airport 6 hours early. We were told we could go in to the airport go to a cafe and use the free wifi. So we said it was okay to drop us off. We were hassled at the airport being told to wait outside.(not Emotours fault) We finally talked our way in only to find no real cafe and no wifi! What bothered us about it was we got up super early for no reason. We were exhausted from being up super early the 2 days prior to this and could have slept in and eaten at the hotel. Yes we could and did/ or at least tried to sleep in the vans. But real good sleep is what we needed. Also people we saw at Abu Simbel who were there when we were, got on a flight hours before we did. I get it that the flight could have been full, but then we shouldn’t have left as early, to get there and back for a more reasonable time with the airport. So I think something needs to change here for future customer happiness. Now don’t let the cons be the sole factor here, we had an amazing time. I just believe cons need to be heard to help with growth and improvement in a positive setting. So thank you Emotours for an amazing experience and showing us the beauty of Egypt. Travelers tip: Have lots of small bills with you! Get lots of Egyptian pound $5, it’s a life saver. Every bathroom you go into has people looking for tips. There are “guardians” at every site that will try to talk/show you something for a tip. They are like security for the place but also try to get tips for extra cash. The guardians are easy to ignore just don’t engage them and they will leave you alone.

Beautiful place. Complicated tour. - Egypt itself is an incredible place. The history and architecture are truly breathtaking. I'm giving this 3 stars because the amount of effort and time spent communicating with Emo Tours was troublesome, and in the end, it was more effort trying to coordinate with Emo Tours than if I were to have made all the bookings myself. In Emo Tours' defense, we did request to amend the itinerary some (removing Aswan and flying to Luxor earlier). Tipping was also addressed up front with Emo Tours. Still, Emo Tours did not consistently communicate this to the various freelancer tour guides they engaged, making some tours very awkward at the end. I would only recommend Emo Tours if you can exactly follow their itinerary with absolutely zero changes. Otherwise, don't bother.

Moderate Trip Experience with Emo Tours - Well, either I'm being a prick or the bars for the review here is very low. Our experience wasn't the worse, but obviously it was very moderate - far from the excellent reviews here. We had our trip in late 2017 btw but I think the review are still applicable. So, we had a young disinterested guy to guide us in Aswan and Luxor. He seems to not eager to please and always not happy. He wasn't happy when we didn't want to take the optional tours (beware, and ask for timeline during travelling - we finished too fast and there is the 'hidden' fee of optional tours to kill time because check in to the boat at 2pm). He was with us for the entire journey in Nile but we felt like we were alone. Other guides were so engaging and we were so jealous of them. The driver in Aswan was not happy when we tip him (presumably its too low for his liking). But the guide does the basic things required, so the 3/5 star for him so we still tip him EGP300 for 3 days. So we head to Cairo, another guy - just normal nothing great or worthy of mention. He also somewhat not interested (you can tell when they are being sincere and honest or just doing it for the sake of the job). Probably 3.5/5 star for him. Egypt is full with so many people asking for tips. Every service rendered with tips expected, with his we are all stressed and wary of the people who help although they have good intention. It doesn't help when some visitors gives too much tips but in general, either trip generously or prepared to even haggle for tips.
