Kigali – Akagera NP | Boat Cruise Safari
Akagera National Park - Depart from Kigali and head towards Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a boat trip on Lake Ihema, then return to the lodge for check-in. The lodge, situated in the heart of the bush and overlooking Lake Ihema, offers an immersive jungle experience. Overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Game Drive Safari, Akagera National Park - Volcanoes National Park
Volcanoes National Park - After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Akagera National Park, getting close to the wildlife. Exit the park at the Northern Nyungwe gate and proceed to Volcanoes National Park via Byumba. The drive through the park’s northern region features diverse topography, with highlights including the Crocodile Swimming Pool and Kilala Valley, known for its abundant wildlife. Overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Trip, Volcanoes National Park
Volcanoes National Park - After an early breakfast, transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a trekking briefing, followed by a hike into the rainforest to visit a troop of mountain gorillas. Each troop is monitored 24/7, allowing for an hour of close observation. Return to the lodge after the trek. Overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Mount Bisoke Volcano Trekking, Hiking & Climbing, Volcanoes NP
Volcanoes National Park - After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters at Kinigi for the Bisoke Volcano Trekking. Mount Bisoke, an active volcano in the Virunga Mountains, straddles the border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with its summit and crater lake located in Rwanda. Return to the hotel after the hike. Overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Golden Monkey Trekking, Volcanoes NP - Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe Forest National Park - After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi for golden monkey tracking. These agile and endangered primates inhabit bamboo thickets on the lower mountain slopes. This trek serves as a perfect acclimatization to the altitude. Afterward, transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel or a similar accommodation.
Rwanda Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk, Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe Forest National Park - Start the day with an early breakfast at 04:30 am or opt for a packed breakfast. Meet with the ranger guide and transfer to Cyamudongo or Uwinka visitors center for chimpanzee trekking, followed by a canopy walk starting at Uwinka visitors center. Return to the hotel after the day’s activities. Overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel or a similar accommodation.
Nyungwe National Park - Kigali
Kigali - After an early breakfast, transfer back to Kigali, marking the end of the 7-Day Wildlife Tour, Bisoke Hike & Gorilla Trekking Trip. Your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport for your outbound flight.
