Trusted and Professional Source for Tours in Ghana - After spending months trying to organize my own tours and transport for my family’s trip to Ghana, I finally stumbled upon Land Tours and decided to book the package through them. I am so glad I did! They saved me a lot of time and hassle, and it was well worth the money. They were super responsive both during the planning phase, upon our arrival, and when we were in Ghana. All we had to do was show up each day and be prepared to be curious and adventurous. The tour guide (David) and driver (Boakye) were fantastic! They made me feel safe and informed at all points of the trip, and they were kind, professional, and adapted well to my silly and jovial family. We felt like we had known them for months, and it will be hard to leave them. Personally, I am especially going to miss Boekye’s driving—he was both speedy and safe; I wish I could have him back at home with me to navigate the traffic on my way to work! And David was genuine and open-hearted and so passionate about his country; he really helped me learn to love Ghana. Now that I have told you about the vibe our our tour, let me tell you about the details. We did a customized 9 day tour, and we traveled ALL through Ghana—Mole, Accra, Tamale, and Kumasi. The days were action packed. We visited all the important sites in the Accra City Tour. Plus, did safari’s in Mole and Shai Hills. Mole was amazing!!! We actually stood about 20 feet away from 3 elephants. At Shai Hills we saw zebra and an ostrich that was fenced in, but it wasn’t like a “zoo” feeling—they seemed healthy and strong and they had plenty of space to roam. The hiking tour at Shai Hills was amazing! We were literally on top of a mountain, and the view was incredible. My children loved the Kintampo Waterfalls, but be careful because the rocks are slippery and I had a pretty bad fall. We did not feel comfortable on the canopy walk at Kintampo, but we did the one at Kakum. My kids LOVED it, and my husband and I were scared out of minds. But after you accomplish crossing all the canopy walks, the thrill of achievement is exhilarating. Definitely do it!! We also visited the Cape Coast Castle, which was incredibly sad but necessary to see. Assin River tour was spiritually healing and profound—I truly felt the presence of my ancestors’ energy in the river. Visiting the Asante Kingdom tour and the sites in Kumasi (the market and Ike’s Cultural Center) were also educational. I was inspired by the stories of Queen Mother Yaa, and the many other strong women and warriors among the Asante. We actually ended our tour on the last day back in Accra at Black Star Square and WEB Dubois’ House and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, so we wrapped up our tour with a sense of self-determination and unification. I have been to other countries in Africa that I have loved, but at Ghana I felt like I was home. It actually was a voyage of return, and I know I will be returning again and again.

Black US Travel Group to Ghana - I felt the itinerary was beautifully paced, and gave our group to connect with the land, people and food of Ghana. Would highly recommend for Black Americans who have an interest on visiting Ghana and looking for the guidance Landtours provides. Our guide was energetic, welcoming and a great narrator as we traveled to the various locations. With his experience, he was also to answer many of the questions our group had.
