Palaces. Lunch and the GEM - This was an excellent tour for us on our first trip to Cairo! And, the communication from the company via WhatsApp was very timely and efficient. Osama was a knowledgable guide and very personable and friendly, as was our driver, Ahmad who navigated the crazy Cairo traffic very well. We also combined this tour with the tour of the GEM (at least the grand staircase and reception hall, which are all the is open yet). Plus, they arranged a wonderful lunch at the Caviar Seafood restaurant with a view of the pyramids!

Short but great experience of seeing the palaces. - A fantastic experience for a short amount of time. Our guide Islam Tigo was very knowledgeable about the history of the palaces and gave us time to explore on our own. Abdeen palace was a standout as its museum contains some of the most unique items you will ever see (won't spoil it). Lunch was equally great at a buffet restaurant to cap it all off. All in all, a highly recommended tour.

Book with Sayed - We took a day trip to the piramides, museums and bazaar. We had a really good time with our tour guide Sayed Mahmoud and chauffeur Mourad. Sayed was honest, respectable and kept making sure everything was ok and how our day was going, we really liked that. I really recommend it! He has some amazing stories to tell. It was so nice we even booked a new tour for tomorrow. THANKYOU Sayed and Mourad

Prepare to be amazed - The palaces were beautiful. Our guide was very nice. We would have given this 5 stars if the guide provided more information and allowed us to take our time through the palaces. The guide did not share much knowledge about the Palaces and we felt very rushed at some portions. However, we really appreciate the experience and would recommend this tour to others!

Stunning Palatial Tour! "sans tour guide" - To start, if you are seeking or are okay with taking a tour where you are on your own to explore and learn yourself without use of a tour guide on property and only have a tour guide available to drive you, get tickets, and assist with entry into each location visited (due to language barrier, unless you know Arabic already), then this is the tour for you. Our tour guide didn't come in with us nor was able to answer questions we had, but... Honestly, there were enough signs in each location that we were able to learn about each palace, property and content within by ourselves with ease. And the palaces & gardens were gorgeous - and absolute must-see, particularly if you enjoy &/or are interested in architecture, modern Egyptian history, and the wonderful smell of fresh plants and flowers. It was also a welcomed escape from the hustle and bustle of various ancient Egyptian sites and Museums with way more foot traffic. Additionally, the tour organizer Mahmoud was very communicative, polite, super quick to respond, and assisted us before and during our tour with ease via WhatsApp, which was greatly appreciated. Note: I do not recommend bringing a camera, other than the one that's in your mobile phone, as it may not be easy to get it in. During the tour, we went to see: 1. Baron Empain Palace (or Le Palais Hindou) (Early 20th Century) This was an intriguing and beautiful palace inspired primarily by Hindu temples, but with added European touches inside and out. Located in Heliopolis, a suburb northeast of central Cairo, founded by the palace's Belgian owner Edouard Louis Joseph, Baron Empain. The palace was designed by French architect, Alexandre Marcel and decorated by Georges-Louis Claude. We needed shorter time here than the others visited below (about 45-min to 1 hour is well sufficient) Note: Ask for an extra ticket in order to see the upper floor and take in panoramic views of the city, if you care to. 2. Abdine / Abdeen Palace Museums (Built in 1874) This is more of a modern Royal then Presidential palace with part of it converted into multiple museums on the lower floors. It was built as one of the official residences of the former Egyptian monarchy. It's a HUGE property and the buildings / gardens are very well maintained and serene to walk around in the peace and quiet, as if you are not even in the city (just pay attention to the signs to make sure you don't go where you are not supposed to). In the open areas on the lower level, you can find the Silver Museum, Arms Museum (I swear this must be one of, if not the largest private collection we have ever seen! It was incredibly vast.), Royal Family Museum, and the Presidential Gifts Museum. Definitely needed more than 2 hours just for this palace alone. Note: If you want to bring your phone in, you need to get an extra ticket to bring it with you onto this property. Otherwise, you will need to give it to the guard upon entry (they will put it in a cubby and give you a ticket for pick-up when you leave - Don't lose that ticket if you want your phone back if you choose this route). Honestly, it's worth the extra couple bucks for an extra ticket to bring it in. 3. Manial Palace Museum (Built in 1875) Former Alawiyya dynasty era palace located in Sharia Al-Saray area in the El-Manial district of southern Cairo. Built bu Prince Mohammed Ali Tewfik. This palace's 14-acre garden estate is SO vast and the constant smell of the bounty of plants and flowers was really incredible. It was such a nice refreshment from the traffic outside the walls. Mixed in were the historic house with stunning mosaic walls & ceilings, and other extensions / museums on the grounds as well, including a Mosque, Hunting Museum, and Oriental Museum (with beautiful collections from the Orient). Expect to stay here for a while too. This was our favourite palace, but all three were really a sight to see!

the guide should be... - the guide should be enthusiastic and knowledgeable with better language experience. Basically he just escorted us from one place to another with very minimal explanations
