Book it! - Fantastic experience and well worth the price! Guides were so great and friendly. Fulfilled our goal of a bit of adventure, but we felt very safe the whole time. Definitely something to add to your list.

We recommend Splash adventures - João and Luis were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun to be around. First time canyoning and it was fun :) Rappelling, jumping in the river and clear instructions. Bonus: we had a small group. Also, João and Luis took the time to save some fish that where trapped in a drying pool. Would recommend them to go on a canyoning adventure!

Fun canyoning - We had a great time canyoning with a small group of only 4! It was so much fun jumping off waterfalls, zip lining, and rappelling. We didn’t have to wait long before our turn since there weren’t a lot of us and it was safe and exhilarating!

Simply amazing adventure - This excursion was one of the best parts of my trip to Sao Miguel. So beautiful!!! João and his partner were super patient with me (hiking in neoprene to the starting point is intense!) and coached our group each step of the way. Safety is their first priority. The ratio was 4 adventurers to two guides. João is fluent in English, which made it easier for me. As a solo traveler, I had no problem fitting in with the rest of the group. We cheered each other on through all of the challenges. I jumped off two waterfalls and rappelled down two different cliff areas. I waded through river areas and giggled as I posed under the spray of a waterfall. I appreciated that he captured photos and videos of the excursion so I didn't need to worry about pulling out my phone. I was also able to arrange for a ride with them from Ponta Delgada (extra fee) so I didn't need to worry about getting to the starting point. Wear a bathing suit, bring a towel, and be ready for the experience of a lifetime. It was an empowering excursion that made me SO HAPPY. Thank you.
