FUN FACT FOR KLEFTIKO:
Kleftiko is a cove, where old pirates used to hide. The name in english means Bandits’ Lair. The name Kleftiko comes mainly from the old days, when the pirates operating in the Aegean used its bays as a base, setting up carts on the unsuspecting ships that passed through the area and looting them. Its natural caves offered safe shelter from the difficult weather conditions that prevailed in the sea area

- Sykia - A CAVE YOU DON’T WANNA MISS
Sykia it’s a magical cave in Milos. The special thing about this cave is that it is open on the top and the reflection of the sun goes inside, making it a wonderful spectacle. The cave it’s 5 meters high and 20 meters wide.
The top part collapsed, with the result of creating a”hole” on the top of the cave where you can see the sky. The name of this place in Greek, means, “Fig tree”. It got it because very close to the open-top cave there is a fig tree.
Sykia cave is only accessible by boat. Some big boats can’t access the cave inside but you will go as close as possible to see this impressive phenomenon. On the inside of the cave there is a small corner of pebbles and rocks that look like a tiny strip of a beach.
- Kalogries Beach - THE BEACH OF THE NUNS
Kalogries beach is a very small quiet beach in Milos. In the past it used to be THE place for sailors and fishers. The legend says that it got its name from nuns wandering around the area and the seafarers were seeing them. The special thing about this place is the impressive volcanic rock formations around it and the waters are crystal clear. The port of the area is considered windless and the waters are shallow.

Klima village is very famous in Milos. The reason, it’s because it attracts people to have a closer look at “Sirmata”.
”Sirmata” are two-floor colourful fisherman houses. The first floor is decorated on the outside, with vivid colours of blue, red and orange where the fishers live with their families. On the down floor they used it as storage of their boats. They protected them there from the bad weather.
Now, these fisherman houses are used as Air bnb’s for tourists. The way to go there by car is a bit unstable.
