Life Changing! - I didn't want to wait too long to review but I'm still processing the magnitude of this excursion. Minalu was there from day one (almost a year ago) walking me through the process. I felt safe in making a deposit and paying the rest upon arrival. He answered all my questions, kept me updated and meeting him in person was no different. He treated me like family, always going above and beyond to ensure my safety, comfortability and enjoyment. I knew how different he was when other guests staying at the lodge, envied where we had went daily. I did my research and this is the best tour guide for Omo Valley...the price was very affordable also. I would definitely return to see more tribes. This was an amazing experience and the highlight of my birthday trip. Thanks to the driver Abdu he was always so helpful. I cane close to tears when visiting the Hamer tribe...that's also the one I was told I most resemble. Also, I knew coming in that ceremonies were not guaranteed, but Minalu made sure I was present once te found out about a bull jumping ceremony/whipping. The Mursi tribe was also in conflict so we couldn't visit. Minalu knew how important it was for me to see them and thru his connections found out there were some seeking refuge nearby. So he made it happen and I met them. I was so blessed this trip. A million thank you's!!!This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget!

filming in Omo valley - The goal of our trip was to explore tribes in Omo valley in not a touristic way, but really spend time with people and learn about their culture and way of life, and transform our experience in filmed content. Even before the trip, Minalu was always available, answered all questions and could explain and offer great insights from his vast experience in tourism. As our budget was limited, but ambitions were big, Minalu could always find a way to get the most out of the possibilities. What is also important, he created a safe and lovely atmosphere with his crew, the 4x4 cars were in pristine condition, local music was played and all our burning questions along the way were answered. If I'm lucky enough to come back to Omo valley, then I'm definitely booking another trip with this company.

Once in a lifetime Omo Valley tour with the cultural tribes of southern Ethiopia - Everything was left to the tour operator and they did everything they said they would do without fuss. Ermi and Guidi were at Jinka airport to meet me (as planned) they met me each morning at my hotel (as planned). They worked to the village visit itinerary all as planned and found me the once in a lifetime bull jumping ceremony for the crown prince of the Banna tribe - only got to see that as a result of their good work. They were nilble and flexible in changing the plans when circumstances needed it. For example, the road to the Mursi was blocked so they arranged a visit with a Mursi family in a different area at the drop of a hat, without missing a beat. Ermi's English is excellent and he's also a good photographer if you want to leave that to him as the local guides explain the tribes traditions etc. from first hand experience at each village. All in all, a once in a lifetime trip which is unique in every way. You need to be an open minded traveller to truly appreciate what you are being given the privilege of experiencing, but it is well and truly worth it The Omo Valley Tour, run by Top Omo Valley Tours took me to see the Mursi tribe, the Hamar, Nyangatom, Ari, Dassanech, Banna and Kara tribe all in three days. As well as the local markets. Every visit and experience was welcomed and accepted by the locals. The Top Omo Valley Tours guys (including Minalu) looked after everything allowing me the comfort of simply experiencing the people and culture.

Fantastic experience - A complex and challenging trip has become simple and comfortable with Top Omo Valley Tours. We are 4 Italian friends over 65 and, although we wanted this experience in Ethiopia, we were a little undecided and worried, but Minalu's quick and confident responses by email and WhatsApp right from the first contact convinced us. And actually from the first meeting in Jinka we have always felt calm, protected and safe. In addition to being a guide, interpreter and "guardian angel", Minalu was also an excellent driver, on all types of roads, and a nice and fun travel companion during the 7 days of the tour. An experience in the Omo Valley, with this agency, is recommended to all those travelers who wish, in maximum safety, to escape the usual tourist routes and come into contact with a reality that surpasses all imagination.

Great experience with Minalu Adem - Omo Valley Tours - Great experience, I fully recommend such a trip. Minalu Adem, who gave us maximum attention every day, is a great lover of his country Ethiopia and his approach and all his efforts to show us as much as possible of the Omo Valley is really exemplary. And the local people and villagers also respect and love him. So for me, if I go again, or ever among my friends, then only with Minalu.

An unforgettable experience. - The experience with Top Omo Valley Tours and Minalu was excellent in every way. Before we started the trip, even during our email conversations, Minalu was always very professional and assured us that we would have an unforgettable experience in the Omo Valley. And he couldn't be more right! Everything went perfect, the planning, the timings, the meetings, the experiences, the hotels. The program is very well designed to enjoy the most of what southern Ethiopia has to offer. Minalu knows the region like no one else and moves among the various tribes as a close friend, always with respect that is evident to be reciprocal. He has developed a strong connection with many tribes we visited, which makes the experience and first contact much easier. For those who want a professional service, with a personalized attention, in-depth knowledge of the country's history and culture and a peaceful, pleasant environment full of enriching experiences, the option is without a doubt Top Omo Valley Tours. Totally recommended!! We did the 6 day tour.

Great tour around Ethipia - I was recommended by a friend to take a tour with Minalu, and the experience was very good. 11 days along omo valley, Bale national park and awasa. The driver Chaku and guide Siraj were so profesional during the tour that couldn’t be better. They were open to all my request and made all posible for making me happy. We were a team. Well done guys. The days at the villages and then the wildlife searching were super Amazing. We visited 9 tribes with lovely local people, good photo opportunities, the same with birds, monkeys and other animals. The only thing I would change for the next time is the local guide at Bale national park, it seemed he did not like to wake up early for looking for birds, and everybody knows that you should be at the place as early as posible, and he wanted to start at 8 pm. The food were delicious, with a mix of hotel and local meals. Coffee several times a day came with very friendly talks. A couple of nights at not so good hotels we had, but it was the only possible accommodation in yabelo, that’s what ethiopia sometimes offer. I could even attend to the bull jumping ceremony (the guide was everyday checking where and when it was going to be celebrated) If you did not decide yet, go with Minalu.

I confirm that Africa sickness exists - We did a 10 day tour in the Omo valley, an unforgettable experience. Thanks to our guide Ermy who allowed us to come into direct contact with the local tribes, working hard to make our experience as authentic as possible. The organization is perfect also thanks to the punctuality and reliability of our driver Teddy who has covered hundreds of kilometers making us always feel safe. What can I say, an experience that leaves an indelible mark. We can confirm that the African sickness exists and we are already dreaming of returning as soon as possible to visit the north. Thank you with all my heart

Unique experience - Excellent experience. We were lucky enough to be driven for 10 days from Addis Ababa round trip to the Omo Valley by a wonderful guide called Ermi and a fabulous driver called Teddy who went out of their way to make our trip perfect, and they succeeded. From the slightly more touristy villages to the ones where we were alone, from the bull jump (not to be missed) to the sight of a school, from the many colorful markets to the desolate savannah lands, everything was capable of leaving us speechless. The facilities were all well above expectations, the organization always perfect, punctual and precise. I thank Minalu for the service provided which is worth every penny spent
