Good addition to your stay in Agra - You could tell that Arif has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to convey it in an understandable way. The pick-up from the hotel was on time and without any problems. All of our questions were answered and there were lots of helpful tips. And we were also able to try street food along the way. We learned a lot about the history and present of Agra beyond the Taj Mahal.

Excellent guided walk. - From the minute we met Arif, we felt completely at ease and knew we were in for a good time. He is such a genial guy, excellent English, a great sense of humour, and a mine of information. The tour lasted 3 hours, and he kept us engaged the whole time. He answered all our questions and gave us insight into Indian culture that only an Indian could know. His obvious love for Agra shines in his eyes. I thoroughly recommend him and his company. Thank you for the cherished memories Arif.

Arif made my trip to Agra a complete success! - I had a free weekend while traveling to New Delhi on business, and decided to go to Agra. I arrived on a Saturday night without having booked a guide in advance. I found Arif’s info here on TripAdvisor, sent him a WhatsApp and to my great fortune he was available the next morning for a sunrise tour of Tajmahal followed by Agra Fort. Arif arrived at my hotel at 6:30a sharp and we were off. As we worked our way through the sites, he shared histical facts and insights about the placement and construction of the monuments and answered all my questions. He also shared some of his personal memories of how the area has changed. He pointed out good vantage points for photos, and helped snap many of them himself. He has an easygoing manner and gave me plenty of time to gaze in awe and take in the beauty of Tajmahal. To boot, Arif saved me lot of time as he was able to get me around the entry queues without waiting (he’s an officially licensed guide, and seemed to know people in ticket booths and guard stations as well). I was very lucky to have Arif as a guide, I encourage you to reach out to him if you’re heading to Agra!

walk through time - The history of the old city was painted in vivid detail as Arif took us on a memorable journey through the time when Agra was the capital of the Mughal Empire and later on, the impact of British rule. The fort, the railway station, the magnificent mosque, the streets, the markets and the old buildings that were reconstructed over time were all depicted with colorful detail throughout our walk. It culminated with a tasty sampling of "petha" sweet which is a specialty of Agra in the local market. Highly recommended!!

Walk with a Historian - Arif’s nuanced understanding of the city’s history was the highlight of our walking tour. Walking with him around the local markets at night gave us a sneak peak into Agra’s daily life. Would surely recommend my family and friends to connect with him when in Agra.
