Highlights
  • Akrotiri Archaeological Site - The Akrotiri excavation site is of a Cycladic cultural settlement on the Greek island of Santorini, associated with the Minoan civilization due to inscriptions in Linear A, and close similarities in artifact and fresco styles. The excavation is named for a modern village situated on a hill nearby. The name of the site in antiquity is unknown. Akrotiri was buried by the massive Theran eruption in the middle of the second millennium BC (during the Late Minoan IA period); as a result, like the Roman ruins of Pompeii after it, it is remarkably well-preserved. Frescoes, pottery, furniture, advanced drainage systems and three-story buildings have been discovered at the site. Admission ticket 12€ is not included - Red Beach - Red Beach is a volcanic sand beach on the Aegean island of Santorini. The beach is famed for its titular red-hued sand, and is a noted for being a popular tourist attraction. The beach’s sand is composed of black and red pulverized volcanic rock from the nearby Santorini caldera. Red Beach can be accessed from nearby Akrotiri. The area is prone to landslides, and since 2013 parts of the beach have been inaccessible due to said slides. - Perissa Black Sand Beach - The longest beach of he island, is the ideal spot for some relaxation by the crystal clear water of the Aegean sea. Perissa boasts magnificent beaches on the Aegean including Perissa Beach itself and Perivolos. There are the remnants of the ancient Early Christian church of Saint Irene; its contracted form is the present name of the island, Santorini. - Ιερά Μόνη Προφήτου Ηλία Θήρας - Prophet Elias Monastery is located in the southeast part of Santorini, near the village of Pyrgos, on the summit of Mount Profitis Ilias. It is built at a height of approximately 567 meters above sea level, which makes it the highest point on the whole island and therefore a place with a tremendous view! - Pyrgos - Pyrgos Kallistis or simply Pyrgos (Greek: Πύργος Καλλίστης, lit. ’Tower’) is a village on the Aegean island of Santorini, Greece, in the Cyclades archipelago with a population of 912 according to the 2011 census. Pyrgos is part of the Municipality of Thira and is situated approximately 7 km away from the island’s capital Fira. It is built amphitheatrically on a hill that offers magnificent views of Santorini in almost all directions. On top of this hill remain the ruins of a Venetian castle (Kasteli) that was once the island’s administrative center. Pyrgos is a typical example of medieval architecture with narrow, labyrinthine streets, fortified walls and hidden passages. Nowadays it is one of the villages of Santorini least spoiled by tourism. - Art Space - Time to taste Santorini in a glass, and one of the best places to have this experience is the “ART SPACE WINERY”! Art Space Winery Musem Art Gallery is a unique Art Center within the pumice rock – carved chambers of an old winery located in Exo Gonia, Santorini and continues from the year 1999 until today to stand as a hospitable retreat for all those Greek and foreign artisans who share the same passion for creativity. In the 1861 old winery, representative works of art from the sphere of painting and sculpture are on display, offering visitors the opportunity to come close to contemporary Greek art and the course of artistic expression in Greece. What is more, Art Space Winery continues regularly the traditional winemaking production includes in its premises a contemporary winery offering renowned products of high quality. - Three Bells of Fira - The Three Bells of Fira, officially known as The Catholic Church of the Dormition, is a Greek Catholic church on the island of Santorini. The church is known for its blue dome, three bells and views. The building is located in the town of Fira, directly above the cliffs which dominate western Santorini. - Oia - Oia typifies the white-painted houses of the Cyclades, in many cases built directly into niches which are cave houses used by crew of the ships, on the lip of the volcanic crater, between which are narrow alleys and blue-roofed churches with cupolas. The wealthy ship captains of the late 19th century built neo-classical mansions. These houses are seen built in succession one above the other. In 1976 the town was included in the programme for preservation and development of traditional settlements of the Greek National Tourism Organisation under Aris Konstantinidis. Over 15 years, the programme sought to preserve, restore and find new uses for selected houses and architectural ensembles representative of traditional Greek architecture. Many of the yposkafa spitia (cave houses), simple seamen’s houses on the edge of the caldera, became guest-houses, hotels and restaurants.

Theodore-AMAZING - Theodore was our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! His name means, “Gift from God” and he was just that for us! We feel we got the best experience with Santorini. The tour was totally customizable as well, there are some things we opted out of seeing just because my grandparents couldn’t go any longer and Theo was okay accommodating our needs. Next time we come to Santorini, we will definitely be linking up with him!

Awesome! - We had a wonderful time with our guide Elias. He spoke good English. He was on time at the old cruise port gondola exit. He was friendly, fun, and helpful, he was flexible and asked what we wanted to see and do, while also showing us all The must-see sights. He stopped for coffee or food when we wanted to stop, and suggested some Excellent places. We loved the organic winery. We learned so much and enjoyed the company of our guide, Paula. We purchased a lot of wine after the tour because it was so good. We saw a monastery at the highest point in Santorini, and we stopped to take pictures and lots of iconic “blue domes”. I could not have hoped for a better tour. We strong recommend this as a better alternative than the cruise excursions that were available at this port.

All of Santorini FAST - We had a great time, and it was worth the money. Elias knows where he is going and will GET you there for your pictures. We were only in Santorini for about 6- 8 hours for a cruise, and we saw everything the island offers in 5 hours (albeit) for a very short period at each location. Note to everyone: the Blue Domes are very crowded, and it will be difficult to get good photos. Instagram has overstated them. But Elias knows a lot of other spots that aren't very crowded where you can still take pictures with your friends. Our favorites were the red sand beach and monastery. The wine tasting was interesting; we liked the sweet wines and novel growing techniques, and it was cool to see some of the more traditional ways of making the wine, but we aren't huge wine people.

Santorini Island Private Tour-Amazing - Maria from Asma Suites booked a Santorini Island tour with Elias! He was AMAZING! He took us to all of the most beautiful sights, and views on the island! The views were stunning, the streets charming and the food delicious. We dined at Santorini41…this is must if you are ever in Santorini! Great food, great staff, and superb food! The outside area faced the best views of Black Beach! He paced himself to meet our needs, stopped at places if we asked and was so patient! He was enthusiastic and passionate about the beauty of the islands! We had many conversations and shared many stories about life and the islands. He took many pictures of us, very professional!😀My husband experienced motion sickness so Elias took his time driving, checked on my husband, stopped at a Pharmacy for us, and communicated to them for me what my needs were! He took great care of us! We think of him as a good friend and hope to see him again! Thank you for sharing your love of the islands and gifting to us a magical memory!❤️ Dan and Shari DeLong

10/10 don’t miss it! - What an amazing tour! Traveling solo is sometimes a gamble, but I prefer it because that way I get to know the place much better! My expectations for ALRiDY were already high, and thankfully they easily overpassed them! The service was exceptional! The car was clean and cozy! The driving was safe and smooth! The driver was eager to share his knowledge! The places we visited were spot on what I was looking for with a magical energy! The stories we heard were riveting!
