Kudos to Saga Travel for excellent tours - Just completed Celebrity Cruise to Iceland and used Saga Travel for day tours in both Akureyri and Reykjavik. Both tours were by small van with 12 passengers and were excellent with knowledgeable and pleasant drivers/staff. Saga principal, Baldvin Einarsson, was a pleasure to deal with during early planning for trip. It was a pleasure to meet him at the dock in Akureyri, the first port and tour. Overall, a very a memorable experience.

A great tour with Jon. - Carnival had cancelled our excursion and we were able to book an equivalent tour. The tour was excellent and well organised. Jon and his staff took great care of us. The thermal spa was amazing. Hot mineral water and pumped into a concrete structure. There were no sulfur smells. The waters were very soothing.

Perfect port excursion! - With a beautiful drive over the mountain pass and between Godafoss, the Turf House, and the Forest Lagoon this tour hits all the best highlights in Akureyri. Our tour guide and driver (both named John) were fantastic and extremely knowledgeable.

Fun and Enriching Day! - Our whole group (7 of us) had a blast! The timing was perfect! We got to the falls before a huge rush of tourists. We visited an old Icelandic home with a thatched/grass roof and Church building. We also visited a geothermal pool for a bit. Our tour guide (Rudka) was fantastic and our bus driver (Elja) was great getting us safely to all our stops. I highly recommend this tour and Rudka as the tour guide!!!! Great history and stories while traveling to the different stops.

Great excursion - It was so nice to be on a short bus for a small group excursion instead of on a large bus. We went to Laufas Heritage site first to beat the crowds at the waterfall. The heritage site was very interesting and was glad we actually went. Most of the crowd was gone when we got to the waterfall. It was beautiful. Finally off to Forest Lagoon to relax. It was the perfect Iceland experience. The weather on the day we did this excursion was warm so it got pretty warm in the bus. This bus did not have air conditioning and we were all wishing we had t-shirts on under our long sleeve shirts and sweaters, who would have thought that it would be that warm in Iceland in May. Our guide was fantastic and gave us so much information about Iceland and it's history.

3 stop tour was worth it - The tour bus was nice and comfortable. The sod houses were interesting. The waterfall was amazing but the crowds of tourist made it a little off putting. The geo bath had a bit of a lengthy check in process but was a good experience.
