Once in a lifetime! - Only my teenage daughter and I participated but the foremost feeling for us was safety. We were picked up at our hotel by Freedom and Jeff who are very knowledgeable about the area so it felt like a tour on our way to the village. Once there, we were warmly greeted with dancing and drumming. Daniel, the village leader, explained the entire process to us before they began. Freedom also served as our interpreter when it was time for us to give a speech or say thanks. The added bonus is that it was on my birthday so everyone exuberantly sang happy birthday! I value the level of customer service provided by Foster, the owner.

A Unique Experience - This ceremony exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our entire trip to Ghana. They went all out. First we got saged, cleansed then dressed in white garments in preparation for the ceremony. The ceremony consisted of dancing, sipping of wine, drummers along with special words from the chief. The villagers (including the king) came out to support and they were friendly and made us feel safe.

We are home! - The ceremony was amazing! There was so much hard work and dedication put into it . And, we are forever thankful. This truly made me feel like Ghana is my home away from home, and I have a name to belong! Thank you from my grandmother and i.
