A gem - Don’t hesitate! - This tour is a gem! Nada took into nooks and crannies throughout old Cairo that would be hidden and inaccessible to tourists without local language knowledge. Consider this a combination walking tour of a real local neighborhood and a 10-course tasting menu of true local bites all rolled into one. Nada’s cultural and historical knowledge as well was incredible, and matched her knowledge of local food. Well worth the time and investment. Our only regret was that we didn’t take this tour earlier in our trip so we would know more about what we had been eating across Egypt!! I highly recommend this tour and Nada as a guide!

Our favorite tour of the entire trip - Our tour started off with meeting Nada at the Alazhar Mosque in the afternoon. From the very start, she was absolutely wonderful - we felt comfortable and safe in her capable hands, while she walked us through the busy streets, gave us fascinating information about the mosque and the surrounding area, and introduced us to the local food. Word of advice: go hungry! The food was both delicious and interesting. I don't want to divulge all the dishes to allow for flexibility in their tour to change dishes and restaurants. Just know that every dish was tasty (okay..I will talk about one: I knew of falafel but fell in love with felefel in Cairo, made with fava instead of chickpea and so delicious). We started off here and the rest of the tour was layer upon layer of history, food anthropology, and cultural expose. Nada has an elegant and regal way about her and is so knowledgeable - honestly, I wish we had booked every one of our tours with her. She travels the entirety of Egypt to provide tours and was able to answer our 101 questions, both candidly, with humor, and full of interesting insight. Next time, she is our go-to for every tour. I can't speak highly enough of this tour!

DO IT - One of the best yours I've ever done period. Nada was wonderful. She not only brought us to some terrific food spots, she also gave a lot of history along the way. We walked the streets and alleys like locals and really got a feel for the culture. The markets were very cool to see. The food choices were fantastic and SO MUCH FOOD. Please don't eat all day to enjoy this experience. Good mix of food as well something for everyone. Water and some other drinks included which was very welcome in the heat (the juice was the best!) but there was also lots of shade and areas to get out of the sun. We had a great time definitely book this tour

Great food tour with Nada! - I had a great time on this food tour with Nada! She took me to restaurants I wouldn't have visited otherwise. It was a great experience to try all kinds of food in local, family-owned places. Like others have said in their reviews, there were no other tourists around. On top of that, Nada was very professional. Make sure to arrive to this tour with an empty stomach, because you will eat a lot!

Great Tour Guide (knowledgeable and helpful) - Nada was a fantastic tour guide. I traveled to Egypt with my wife and 2 daughters. Nada, being female, immediately made them feel very comfortable. Nada was knowledgeable with only only the food culture but also historical sites and history in Egypt. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience with her. Out of all the tour guides that we had in Egypt, Nada was the best.

Great food spots that you wouldn’t discover yourself - The tour through the old quarter offers a great overview of the truly typical dishes of simple Egyptian cuisine. The koshary was definitely the best I ate in Cairo. There was also a fantastic milk pudding and the best fried shrimp, but those were just my personal highlights. There is definitely something for everyone.

"Great Tour-Guide, But Disappointing and Disorganized Street Food Tour" - I booked this tour based on positive reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. While the tour is ideal for street food enthusiasts, it was not what I had hoped for. Our guide was excellent and showed us various parts of Cairo, but the hygiene at each stop was concerning. The tour felt disorganized, almost as if we were aimlessly wandering and stopping wherever seemed convenient, rather than following a planned itinerary. I struggled to complete the tour and, in hindsight, wouldn’t recommend it to others. However, if you’re a fan of street food and aren’t overly worried about potential stomach issues, this tour might be for you. Again, the guide was great, but the overall experience wasn’t to my taste.
