- Al Khor - Also spelled Al Khawr means “sea on threesides” in Arabic. Older than Doha but far smaller in size. Al Khor is located an easy 50 kilometres to the north of Doha. It used to be the center of the pearling industry in Qatar but lost its importance after the introduction of cultured pearls. It now boasts a scenic harbour where you can find traditional fishing dhows, a corniche leading to mangrove colonies and a museum showcasing the fishing, pearling and dhow building industries.

A fantastic experience - I booked this tour thinking that it would be a good way to see the diverse side of Qatar and I must say the tour exceeded my expectations.
My tour guide was Abdul Nasir and he was absolutely fabulous… nothing was too difficult, he explained Qatar’s cultural heritage and his knowledge of the places we visited was second to none.
If you are remotely even considering this tour just onboard, I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Highly Recommended! - I only had a limited time in Qatar and wanted to see as much as possible! The North and West full day tour was just the tour for that! Not only did I get to see North and West Qatar, but I also got to eat at a local restaurant in a local town off the beaten path!
Abdullah was my guide for the day and I highly recommend him!

north and west - I and my husband we booked a tour to get out of doha and it was really worth it and definetly will do it again. I recommend this tour with zohaib he helped us a lot to explain about history of qatar

Great Full Day Tour of North and West With Zohaib - We had a great full day tour with Zohaib. He knows the history and the geography of the country to the last details and he shares it graciously. His perfect command of English enabled us to follow his explanations very well. We also appreciated his flexibility in adapting the tour to our requests. Thus we were able to discover the Al Jassasiya rock art site and were able to go to Education City at the end of the day. There we saw the amazing National Library designed by the famous Danish architect as well as the modern mosque with two minarets. It is with great enthusiasm that we recommend him to tourists in Qatar.

Excellent tour guide, perfect day - Our guide Zohaib was amazingly knowledgeable about every place we visited gave us very detailed explanation about the history of every site we visited. Communication skills were brilliant with very good English speaking.

A must trip, enjoyed alot! - Had a north west trip with Mr Zohaib today, had a really good day it was amazing having him as a tour guide he's more like a friendly guide. Would highly recommend you guys to appoint him as a tour guide as well!

Give this a miss - Extremely poor value for money, as I was the only person booked and the cost was 4x the “from” rate quoted on the website. No option to stop for lunch (not included) and the visit to the camel facility was a drive alongside the racetrack. Didn’t see a single camel. Good driver guide, though. Look for another option.
