Highlights
  • Pyramids of Giza - Begin your tour with a pickup from Cairo International Airport by your guide. Visit one of Egypt’s top attractions, the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. You can choose to enter any of the pyramids or ride a camel around them, but additional tickets are required and can be purchased on-site. Spend approximately 3 hours exploring the Giza Pyramids and surrounding sites. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Valley Temple, where King Chephren’s body was mummified.
  • Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.
  • Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
  • Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
  • Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. During the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was later expanded by subsequent rulers.
  • The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities showcases the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. It features over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back as far as 5000 years, including a special exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, which includes treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s.
  • Khan Al-Khalili - Visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where numerous shops are known for selling fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more.
  • Sound & Light Egypt - Attend the Sound and Light show at the Giza Pyramids. After the show, you will be transferred back to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
  • Gizeh Plateau - The Giza Plateau is a limestone plateau in Giza, Egypt, home to the Fourth Dynasty Giza pyramid complex, which includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex. It is the northernmost part of the 16,000-hectare Pyramid Fields in the Western Desert edge of the Nile Valley, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Memphis and its Necropolis. The plateau is approximately 60 meters above sea level.

Amazing layover trip in Cairo! - We had a great time ! Tigo was a very entertaining tour guide and help to customize our day based on our needs. If we were interested in a purchase, he would make recommendations but never pushy. Was totally OK with us skipping shopping otherwise. Didn’t try to sell the camel ride on us and took very interesting photographs that’s Instagram worthy. The driver was also on time which we appreciate it. We Started the day at 7:30 which worked out really great. Beat the crowd and the heat when we were at the pyramids. Also included a sound and light show of the pyramids in the evening. We started The tour ended around 330 pm and the driver was scheduled to come back to a hotel to pick us up in the evening. Highly recommended to See the sound and light show if you’re interested in taking amazing dusk photographs with the pyramids the driver drove up to our hotel at 7 PM on the dot. Communication with the operator through Whatsapp was also super easy. They were always very responsive and kept constant open communications with us. 5/5!

AMAZING Day! - What an amazing tour and day! My guide and driver were a whole vibe from the start of my tour up until the end. They were filled with positive energy, excitement about their country, and gave me a great first impression of Egypt upon arrival. I flew in that morning from Jordan and planned to stay in Cairo for a few days, so I appreciated this company’s generosity to pick me up from the airport and drop me off at my hotel at the end of the tour. We first visited Old Cairo’s Khan El Khalili Bazaar where I asked my guide for a few special shots, and he delivered. One shop owner wasn’t very happy that we were taking photos, so my guide showed me a few other options which I really appreciated. Next, we visited the Egyptian Museum, then stopped for lunch for a buffet style meal. Afterwards, we visited the pyramids. At the start of the tour my guide gave me the option to see the Saqqara Pyramid, but we didn’t have enough time, however, I’d recommend visiting it if you can work it into your day. I chose to purchase entry into the Great Pyramid which took about 20 minutes to go in and out. Be warned that it is VERY hot inside. Everyone around you is dripping sweat. After going inside we drove to a panoramic view of the pyramids where I had the option to take photos with camels and purchase a camel ride or horse carriage ride. Afterwards, we drove to the Great Sphinx to take additional photos and I was dropped off at my hotel where I spent a few hours before being picked up again to see the light show at the pyramids. Overall, I had a really fun day. I was traveling solo as a woman and my guide made me feel safe the entire time. I highly recommend this tour if you have a layover or plan to stay in Cairo. Out of my 2-week trip, this was one of the best tours I paid for and that’s all thanks to my guide and driver. Thank you for the hospitality!

Fantastic - Omar was a great tour guide. He went above and beyond to get me to the show. I booked my ticket through another outlet. This outlet didn’t follow through with finalizing my pick up time with Emo Tours. When I called Emo Tours at 5:55pm on the night of my event. Omar found an Upper driver nearby to my hotel to pick me up. I made it to the show in the nick of time. Omar was awesome. I really appreciate what he did. I recommend that you use Emo Tours for your activities.

Cairo layover Pyramid Egyptian Museum Sound and Light show - We ONLY have about 18 hours duration layover in Cairo. We were greeted & picked up promptly early 7 AM at the airport. Our tour guide was Ahmed Elshaer and our driver Mr. Farag. They took us and showed us the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx temples, panoramic lookout(breath taking) of the Giza area. We achieved our long dream to visit ancient Pyramid and Sphinx area. After that, we were taken to the Egyptian Museum. Mr. Ahmed Elshaer patiently accompanying us & explaining the best exhibits we MUST see at the Museum including the fantastic King Tut exhibit which we always wanted to see. We had a great lunch by the Nile river bank restaurant. After that we were guided for a walking tour of the great Bazaar to truly experience local Cairo shops, buildings and daily activities. After that Mr. Naga(our night time tour guide) took us to see the Sound and Light show at the Pyramids & Sphinx. It was a unique experience to learn about the great history of the Pyramids. After the show, we were driven back to the airport to catch the fight home. Our tour guides Ahmed Elshaer, Mr. Farag( hard working driver been driving us all day) & Mr.Naga were absolutely patient, attentive and OUTSTANDING. They show us the best attractions we wanted and & MUST see in Cairo during the limited time available. Their dedicated and hard work gave us the BEST Layover tour to see all the Pyramids, SPhinx, Museum, Bazaar and Sound & Light show. We were MORE than satisfied and grateful to our tour guide Ahmed Elshaer, our driver Mr. Farag(hard working all day fighting traffic congestion) to make our Layover tour unforgettable and precious. We want to thank Mr. Ahmed Elshaer, Mr. Farag and Mr. Naga again to give us a wonderful Layover tour.

Layover tour of Cairo - Our tour guide was Mahmoud Ismail and he was very nice to have as a guide. We asked for our tour to start early in the morning so we could do as much as possible. Mahmoud arrived right on time and had much concern with making sure we got the most out of our time. We saw the pyramids from many different perspectives as well as the sphynx. Mahmoud took tons of pictures of us with the pyramids, which was fun. We then went to the museum where Mahmoud was able to explain about many of the artifacts and made the most of our time there. Third was lunch. Then we made it to the bazaar just in time where we roamed by ourselves for a little bit before we were taken to the airport. We weren’t sure if our terminal, so Mahmoud escorted us into the airport to ensure we were in the right place. We highly recommend this tour with Mahmoud.

He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic - which made the tour very engaging. He’s also a wizard with a camera. Mohamed made the rollercoaster that is Egypt driving a smooth and safe ride. Overall, the tour was very well put together with everything included in the price.
