Alanya isn’t all about scenic beaches and crystal clear waters. The city brims with historical sites and natural wonders. You’ll explore Alanya Castle on foot and by boat, descend into Dim Cave, and enjoy a meal beside the Dim river.
We begin with a historical exploration of Alanya Castle. This 13th-century castle dominates with imposing defensive walls, sweeping views of the landscape and the sea, and an awe-inspiring cliff-edge position. Next, we’ll gain insight into local traditions and witness the transformation of a pumpkin into a lantern at the Culture House before we proceed to the side of the Dim River for a pleasant picnic lunch.
You will continue to Dim Cave, journeying through a world of ancient stalactites and stalagmites before we head back to Alanya’s core. Concluding the tour on a high note, we’ll take a boat ride along the coast for a unique vantage point of the castle’s imposing silhouette.
- In case of inclement weather, the boat trip will be replaced with a visit to the Red Tower
