Fun (slower paced) Quad Tour to Explore Albufeira! - This tour was a fun way to explore Albufeira and see LOTS of the region in few hours! We booked the longer tour and it was a ton of driving around (on paved city roads, rough country roads, gravel, dirt, uphill, downhill, etc) albeit all at a relatively slow pace. There were some sections where we could speed up a little bit (I think we got up to 60kph at a couple of points!), but overall this is definitely more of a relaxing drive. The longer and shorter tour both head up to ruins of the Castle of Paderne (see pictures), but it was closed for construction when we were there unfortunately. We were still able to walk along the outside, but we could not go into the main area and walk around the ruins at all. The shorter tour then heads back and the longer tour continues to several other great spots. Our favorite was a long and windy uphill dirt road to a great lookout point. You can see what feels like all of Portugal, haha. You can see the ocean, rolling hills, so many plants, some wildlife (if you are lucky!), etc. After relaxing at this point for a bit, we started back to the base, stopping briefly at a cute cafe for some snacks and drinks before finishing back at the start point. ***BRING CASH if you want anything at the cafe!!*** On the way back, if the tour guide feels like everyone is capable enough on the quads, you can even go down some fun hills! (see pictures). Overall, we really liked this tour and feel like it was a great way to explore this region. Our tour guide was able to answer questions about the flora and fauna, history, food and sightseeing recommendations, and more. We would never have seen even a quarter as much of Albufeira if we would not have done this tour and we are very happy we did :)

Amazing, Fun (albeit slower paced) Quad Tour to See TONS of Albufeira! - Very fun! It was the perfect length and we got to see sooo much. My husband and I have been on lots of quad tours and we will say that this is a bit of a slower, relaxing one (do not expect any high speeds, opportunities for any fun tricks, *super* rugged terrain, etc), but it is still so worth it! The views, the length, the spots you visit where you will park and relax for a few mins and explore (even eating at a cafe at the end - just bring some cash!!!), etc. all make it worth the money :)

Highly recommended! - Super fun tour. We were also well informed before the tour started. Our quad stopped out of nowhere, an attendant immediately saw this and helped us. Eventually the battery was broken and we waited a few minutes and the agency staff came with a van with another quad. Super team & friendly staff.

Not to be missed excursion! - Excellent tour adventure in Portugal, excellent communication between the organisers, clear directions and ensured our safety was a top piority. Explained some key areas of Albufeira aswell, overall Lui and Sanderson made our tour a memorable experience, definetley recommend!

So much Fun - Really enjoyed the trip, lovely scenery, it was definitely not relaxing but amazing fun, Rui our guide was excellent, friendly, funny and very informative about the area. Would totally recommend

Great experience! - Really great buggy ride with a knowledgeable guide, Rui. Recommend upgrading to buggy if you're doing the 3.5 hour trip! Great route and views. Wear old clothes and probably not white as it's extremely dusty.

The best experience - It was very good experience and the guys r very good at their job I would do it agen and the price is good aswell thanks guys keep up the good work and I got my full deposit back as well

See the Algarve in a different way! - Good experience. Turning up at the headquarters leaves you feeling you may have made a mistake as it's simply a yard full of quads, trucks, and coaches - some of which look to be in a state of disrepair, however, don't judge a book by its cover. We were early (08:25am) with the experience due to start at 09:00am. The guide turned up just before 09:00 and apologised for the hold up. The guide was very polite and got stuck into the paperwork (2-3mins), helmet fitting, and safety briefing before climbing aboard the quad (300cc quad lander). The quad bike was a bit 'rough' and well used, BUT all was ok. Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. As a beginner with my wife as a 2nd rider (I am a well seasoned motorcyclist, but not quad rider), and I would say at times it's quite a challenge with some steep and uneven drops. Certainly got easier with time (>1hr) as we got used to the characteristics of a quad bike. We were offered the option to upgrade (for a fee) before setting off, to the buggies as recommended for comfort for a 3.5hr experience. We opted to stick with the quad bike. We didn't find the quad uncomfortable. It was good to stretch after the 3.5hrs though. The experience was a good one. We were the only ones on the tour, so essentially a private guided tour. There are 3 stops on the way, Castle of Paderne, highest point (of the tour) and Paderne village to have refreshments (some good local pastries available!). I would recommend this tour to see the Algarve in a different way. Its a slow pace tour, no pressure to do anything you're not comfortable with as the guide continually reassured us that if we were not comfortable, to stop and he would help us out. Never needed to but you certainly have to take your time and think. This is not a relaxing tour, but I personally think it's worth doing. Tip: do not wear white - you'll be covered in an orange dust by the end of the tour.

Albuferia Quad Experience - After a mix-up with the start time, 10am not 9am as advised by Viator, we had an enjoyable 3hrs quad biking around the Portuguese countryside….. Francisco was very accommodating and took some great videos and photos for us 👌👍

No health and safety WARNING - Took this excursion as an experienced quad biker whom has done this many times in different countries. However i did this for the first time with my girlfriend. The excursion started great at first till i realised the brakes werent working and that they needed replacing. The coordinator of the group even heard my brakes screeching and explained he needed to change it. The trip was going fine until the coordinator took us to a small steep cliff with two drops. Unfortunately i had a quad bike and other members of the group had a buggy. This cliff was too unsafe for a quad bike, but he still led us here where i got into an accident with my girlfriend, our quad bike fell to the side. Sadly my girlfriend needed stiches in her forehead and was bleeding from her nose. We had to go to the Albufeira a&e which the coordinator didnt help us, i had to take an uber after being dropped to our original starting point to pick up our things. The guide took our deposit of 100 euros and didn't even contact us to see how we were. Definitely don't recommend this tour due to the lack of health and safety and care (no warning about the cliff). If you are going to do it, choose a buggy.
