Highlights
  • Albufeira Marina - The water mirror of Albufeira Marina is the perfect welcome for a relaxing holiday in a peaceful location, just 1 km from the beach and the lively atmosphere of one of the Algarve’s most famous and internationally recognized tourist resorts.

  • Praia Sao Rafael - This small beach features fine golden sand and crystal-clear water, backed by golden limestone cliffs. On the beach, there are numerous limestone rock formations, eroded over time into interesting shapes, many of which have names like Ninho das Andorinhas.

  • Praia Gale - Praia da Galé marks the eastern end of a wide sandy bay. These warm-colored carbonated rocks, rich in marine fossils, also known as concheiros, are remnants of a time when the sea level was further inland. Today, they are sculpted by rainwater and polished by the sea, covered with plants adapted to the salty environment like soda. In areas where sand accumulates, especially in the western sector, you can still find typical dune plants.

  • Lagoa dos Salgados - Situated on the ancient salt marshes of Pera, the Salgados lagoon has become one of the most visited bird-watching spots in the Algarve in recent years. The distribution of birds here varies greatly depending on the water levels in the lagoon. Although the area is not very large, the route can be divided into two distinct segments: the southern area and the western zone. Both routes start at the car park.

South Zone
This path runs along the southern part of the lagoon, parallel to the dune cord. It follows a wooden walkway along the south bank of the lagoon, offering easy access and allowing for the observation of various bird species.

  • Nossa Senhora da Rocha Beach - Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha, sometimes referred to as Praia da Senhora da Rocha, is a beach in the parish of Porches, in the municipality of Lagoa, Algarve, Portugal. A small fishing community named Senhora da Rocha in tribute to the Virgin Mary is located here, with an ancient hermitage atop a jetty that also holds the remains of the Fort of Nossa Senhora da Rocha. This pier and beach serve as a refuge for fishermen’s boats.

  • Praia da Marinha - Praia da Marinha is one of the most beautiful and iconic beaches in Portugal, recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe and one of the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world by the Michelin Guide. It was awarded the “Praia Dourada” by the Ministry of the Environment in 1998 for its unique natural values. Additionally, it became the promotional image for the ‘Guia de Portugal’ distributed worldwide.

  • Capela dos Ossos - The Capela dos Ossos de Alcantarilha is located on the south side of the 16th-century Parish Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in the historic center of the beautiful parish of Alcantarilha, in the heart of the Algarve. The Capela dos Ossos also dates back to the 16th century and follows the same stylistic line as other chapels of its kind in Évora, Faro, and Lagos. Its interior is almost entirely covered and decorated with over 1500 human bones, except for the sculpture of Christ Crucified dating from the 16th century.

Amazing Tour of Algarve Cities and Beaches - We had a lovely time with Luis. He is very knowledgeable of the area. We went to Silves, Porches, Chapel of the Bones, Carvoeiro, Marinha Beach (most beautiful). There were also a few other beaches and towns included. We would highly recommend!

Good tour with great driver - The best thing about the driving tour was that the driver knows all the hidden paths and the secret beaches. As a local resident of the Algarve we received a lot of extra information. Besides that he was very flexible and very nice. He drives save and careful. Bespite the preventive virus measures it was a very pleasant tour.

Over - advertised - Admission 50 euros per person. Takes about 10 min to see. It was not worth the 3 hour drive. It was a single room consisting of skeletons. The rest of the exhibition consists of church motifs
