Wonderful Alexandria family tours with Wonders - We took two wonderful day trips in Alexandria with Wonders of Egypt. Our guide Shaima was excellent. She was very informative and also patient with the many questions my children asked her during each site visit. We especially enjoyed the visit to the El Alamein Military Museum and Cemetery. We have travelled with Wonders of Egypt in the past and they always deliver the best experiences enjoying all that Egypt has to offer.

Amazing Tour To Alexandria with Ali and Mostafa - This was my second tour with Ali and Mostafa from Wonders of Egypt! I enjoyed every second of it. Ali is a walking Egyptian encyclopedia. He knows so many things and conveys them with great passion and excitement. He really seems to be seeing things for the first time with you. I had to ask him how many times has he been there because his eyes light up and are beaming with excitement when he looks at the natural beauty and wonder of his land. He loves Egypt and all of the magic and culture it has to offer and he really portrays that in his tours. Don't think twice about booking your experience with Ali. You will NOT be disappointed. Yalla Habibi!!

Excellent custom itinerary and AMAZING Guide! - Ali arranged the day per our custom requests and managed to fit it all in one day! We were picked up at our hotel in Cairo @6:30 a.m. and met Maha our guide in Alexandria. She was absolutely incredible and shared her in-depth knowledge and love of the city. There was not a question she could not answer! Our stops included all the major historical sites, delicious seafood lunch and even the famous ice cream on the corniche! Our driver was always at the ready - dropping us off and meeting us at the most convenient places. Even though our day was a little longer than planned, our driver and guide did not rush us and were very accomodating and polite. Everything went smoothly and seamlessly - it was truly an amazing day! Throughout the planning process Ali was very responsive - I don't think he ever sleeps! We live in the U.S. and he ALWAYS had a prompt reponse to our questions/requests/concerns. Thank you Ali, Maha and of course our driver Ayman!

This team can arrange custom tours to meet your schedule - I live in Cairo but Ali helped arrange a tour, including transportation and a guide for me and my friend to Alexandria. We rode up one morning, toured, and rode back to Cairo the following day. I was impressed with Ali’s professionalism in immediately responding to my inquiries, providing reasonable prices upfront, and providing details of what is included (and not included) and an itinerary. This isn’t always the case with tour companies here. We had a fantastic (and over-qualified) driver named Shehep, an engineer with Egypt's Department of Antiquities. He had a nice, new clean car with seatbelts, and drove us the 3 or so hours to Alexandria and 3 or so hours back to Cairo. We stopped at nice clean rest-stop facilities along the way, with snacks and drinks available. Because tourism is the primary economy in Egypt, you often find that those working in the industry are over- qualified, and/or highly educated in Egyptology with degrees in tourism/hotel/restaurant management. Our tour guide in Alexandria, Maha, is an educated professional tour guide and also a mother of twins. I think that helped in her flexibility with our hunger and need for coffee between sites! She took us to a wonderful restaurant on the sea, showed us the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Library, and suggested additional sites we could explore on our own if we wanted. The trip was so easy that I will be working with Ali in the future just to explore parts of Cairo I haven’t yet seen!

Worth the visit if you have a day to spare - Cairo to Alexandria by road takes up to 3 hours each way. The guided tour of the New Library was definitely the highlight and the catacombs, Pompeii's pillar and the Citadel on the ancient lighthouse site were interesting.
