Great experience with a professional and friendly guide - Fred was very informative and a great host. Only five of us in the group which made it easy to follow him around the market also we all helped with preparation for sangria and two versions of paella ( fish and meat). There was an additional tomato and fish salad with different olives and cured ham and sausage. Fresh fruit to finish. We were all fed well. Well worth the money.

Delicious paella - We really liked the course. We learned a lot about the products of Spain and our guide Fede knew how to answer all our questions. It was fun and family-friendly. And it must be said that it was one of the best paellas we have tried. Top 👍🏻

Fabulous day learning to make a traditional Spanish dish. - We had so much fun from shopping the Central Market with our guide to making sangria and preparing and cooking the paella. Frederico our guide was so personable, knowledgable and fun. We were a group of 8 strangers, but friends by the end of the day. We all participated in the prepping and cooking. The rice dishes were outstanding as was the traditional tomato/fish salad. I learned a fabulous new dish which I will share with friends back home.

Cook and eat like a local - Great to see how simply Paella is made (Alicante version of course). The same with Sangria. Interesting to shop in the beautiful Mercado, just like a local. Everybody gets to help with some part of the process. There are many tips and techniques for making the tastiest paella.

Paella and Sangria Cooking Workshop With Fred - This whole tour experience was exceptional. We started by shopping for ingredients at the central market, and our guide, Fred, gave us lots of local knowledge about the market and our ingredients that we were cooking with. A short walk to a local kitchen, and our group was able to prepare our meal. Fred kept it lively, was lots of fun and very energetic. We had lots of laughs and a great meal. We left with full stomachs, many recommendations for restaurants and the local music scene, as well as a take-home recipe for the paella and sangria we made. Can't wait to try it at home. Thanks, Freddy, we had a great time! -John and Michelle

Funny workshop and very good food - Federico, our guide was of very good knowledge about all actions we did. Although only some of the people in our group were actually doing some cooking, we all had fun and very good food and sangria. Really enjoyed it.

Not good for solo travellers - There were too many people on this trip. I was a solo traveller and was not at any time acknowledged by the guide nor introduced to any of the participants. The trip around the market was interesting but the guide focussed on those immediately in front of him and it was difficult for those at the back to hear. There was not enough seating in the cookery area so I left feeling very disappointed and unable to experience any paella or sangria
