Highlights

Day 1: Alice Springs to Ayers Rock (Uluru)

Alice Springs - We depart Alice Springs for Ayers Rock stopping off at Mt Connor (false Uluru) lookout for a view of this mighty red mountain and Curtin Springs for a toilet stop before arriving at our campground for lunch. We visit the Red Centre’s Aboriginal cultural centre after lunch. In this very special national park, we can learn about its cultural, ecological, historical, and geological significance. After a short drive towards Uluru, we begin to comprehend its sheer size and magnificence, getting up close and personal to explore further. On our base walk towards Kuniya Piti, we discover sacred rock art sites in family caves and hear the creation stories of Kuniya and Liru.
We drive around sacred sites towards Kantju Gorge where we view the highest waterfall in Central Australia, an elders’ cave, and the world’s oldest pantry.
After seeing the world’s most impressive rock up close and personal, we retreat for panoramic views to witness one of the most incredible sunsets on earth.

Day 2: Ayers Rock (Uluru) to Kings Canyon

Kata Tjuta - The Olgas - It’s an early rise and light breakfast as we head off for a spectacular sunrise in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You thought Uluru was special and just when you think it couldn’t get any more majestic we approach the stunning silhouette of Kata Tjuta. Here we set off on a hike through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge marveling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations. After exploring Kata Tjuta we make our way towards Kings Canyon region just in time to experience a glorious outback sunset followed by a hearty meal around the campfire.

Day 3: Kings Canyon to Alice Springs

Kings Canyon - We head off early to explore the mighty Kings Canyon (Watarrka) venturing into the ancient landscape and sacred grounds of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people. Arriving at the jewel in the crown at the centre of Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) we find ourselves surrounded by towering 100-meter cliff faces, views of sandstone chasms, and jaw-dropping backdrops that will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Grab your water, hat, and sturdy shoes as we set off on foot to explore (the most seasonally applicable part of) the canyon in more detail. After a well-earned rest, you can now enjoy some downtime as the bus meanders its way to your final destination. This evening you are welcome to conclude your exploration in Alice Springs.

Awesome experience - Amazing trip, would 100% recommend. We had Rhett as our tour guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and showed he had a real passion for the history of Uluru and Aboriginal culture. The camp-sites were great, in some scenic spots where you really feel part of nature. All 3 days were a blast. Thanks Rhett!

I highly recommend this... - I highly recommend this tour. Everything was wonderful: Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon, the accommodation in the tent and the food. I would like to highlight in particular the very professional, organized and friendly tour guide Ben and his team.

Red Centre Highlights - If you want to see the main red centre highlights but don't have too much time, this tour will be the perfect choice. It involves a lot of driving but the marvellous landscape just makes up for this. The campsites are uniquely situated in the outback, having all the necessary facilities and there are great camphosts who prepared delicious dinners for us. The sites we have seen were really special and our knowledgeable guide Sanne timed all of the trips just perfectly. She is such a loveable and caring person, making everyone feeling so comfortable. Thanks again for that memorable trip!

What a great experience - The scenery was breath-taking and we were lucky enough to be there shortly after rains which had left the waterholes full and the plants in bloom. Jordan, our guide, helped us really get to know the areas we hiked. He was well-informed and always helpful. I had some doubts about my ability to keep up with the group as we started hiking the Kings Canyon, but Jordan coached me through it for an unforgettable experience.

Very Disappointed +++++ - Fabulous tour with our guide Jodie, extraordinary and very committed person But, and yes there is a but!!! Rudimentary comfort of the camp, and lack of hygiene ++: dirty tents on arrival, we had to sweep the tents!!! thin mattress, and lots of stains, lots of dust, etc.... No possibility of renting sleeping bags as indicated on the site; we had to sleep in sheets and on mattresses of questionable cleanliness; and cry for blankets, because in the desert, at night, yes it is cold!!! The third evening, no water at the camp, and we were offered the river or public showers in a parking lot, incredibly dirty!!! This was not planned in the program either. And to top it all off, the meals consisted of just one dish!!! no dessert, no paper napkins, no glasses, you have to drink from our water bottles... wash your dishes and dry them with dirty, disgusting cloths!! NOTHING FESTIVE and Wraps lunchtimes are picnics and not lunches and dinners as indicated It’s all about the economy!!! What a pity I do not recommend this agency, on the other hand the Red Center, what a marvel, fortunately
