- Pompeii - Meet your local guide and board on the bus to depart to Pompeii, passing the beautiful towns along the Amalfi Drive. Upon arrival, you will stop to a local cameo factory to see the production of typical Italian carvings, while collecting the headsets to hear the guide in the ruins. Start of the journey bank into the history, which will come alive thanks to our passionate guides during the 2hrs and ½ approx. visit. In Pompeii you’ll have the chance to explore one of Europe’s most compelling excavation sites. This Roman city was lost for 1700 years, partially destroyed and buried under ash and pumice after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll have a unique insight into ancient city life. At the end of the tour free time for optional lunch. Departure to Amalfi Coast via Sorrento, passing the beautiful Amalfi Drive. Collect photos and selfies along the way with the most incredible views as background. Return to your resort in the afternoon.

Join us on a journey to the ancient ruins of Pompeii and gain insights into life in ancient Italy as you wander through captivating archaeological digs. Explore preserved remnants of Roman civilization from 79 A.D.
Commence your day with your designated local guide and hop on the coach bound for Pompeii, tracing through the stunning locales along the Amalfi Drive. After reaching the destination, your initial brief halt will be at one of the region’s renowned cameo and coral factories where you can witness the creation of classic Italian carvings. Shortly thereafter, your guide will initiate the tour of the ruins. This tour allows you to delve into the preserved snapshots of life as it stood on the day of the eruption- bathhouses, bakeries, the arena, and even the red-light district. The steadfast remains of Pompeii narrate a captivating tale of the day Mount Vesuvius erupted. Continuous archaeological efforts have unearthed statues, skeletal remains, and tools for you to observe. After approximately a 3-hour exploration, enjoy leisure time for lunch before returning to the Amalfi Coast.

A worth while trip. - A very good trip. Excellent, guide who was personable and extremely knowledgeable. Good value for money. We also had a very skilled coach driver!

Wonderful day with excellent guide - We had the best day in Pompei with our guide Alessandra. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us lots of information during the bus ride and on the archeological site. We learned so much and couldn't be happier we booked the trip. Wonderful tour - Alessandra was an excellent tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. The site is an amazing account of history and a glimpse into 79AD that is only possible with the information providdd by a guide such as Alessandra. Just be cautious if you do this during July or August. So hot. It was 102 the day we were there 😰

POMPEII Fun and facts with Allesandra - Loved this tour Allesandra our guide was so great she led the group well providing lots of historical facts and information and some very fun facts and hidden symbols of Pompeii. Shout out to our bus driver Claudio he was excellent and ver skilled driving on the very windy Amalfi coastal road. All in all a great day highly reccommend this guide and tour.

Guided tour to Pompeii & Vesuvius 10/10 - We booked the tour to Pompeii and Vesuvius with Sunland and I really can't recommend them highly enough! Pick up instructions were very clear with a photograph of the pick up point. Our tour guide Alessandra was absolutely fantastic, during the drive to Pompeii she told us the story about Pompeii and we felt it was almost as if she had been there when the catastrophe occured! She was so knowledgeable, we couldnt have asked for anyone better to guide us. Sh showed us many interesting features in the time we were in Pompeii.
Before booking the trip we were going to make our own way to Pompeii which would have included, ferries, buses and a train, so glad we didnt.
If you want to go to Pompeii and Vesuvius please book with Sunland. We were staying in Minori.

Fantastic day out, everything organised for you, very knowledgeable guide - Our tour guide was fantastic. She gave lots of information about Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast and answered all our questions. She took us to some very fascinating sites and altered the tour to best suit our group. It was a very hot day but our guide did her best to keep us in the shade or undercover as best she could. I was worried we would feel like we missed stuff (only being a half day tour) but she showed us a bit of everything and due to the heat, a half day tour was plenty enough. Pick up and drop off was simple, as was getting in to Pompeii. Our bus driver was also great. Highly recommend if you are staying on the Amalfi Coast.

Fantastic day with excellent guide - We had the best day in Pompei with our guide Alessandra (and not to forget the calm driver Claudio!) She was very sweet and gave us lots of information during the bus ride and of course on the archeological site. Best guide ever!!!! Pick up in Amalfi was prompt and on time. Don’t hesitate to book one of these tours, you won’t regnet it!
