Highlights
  • Amargosa Valley - Area 51 Alien Center: make a stop at the quirkiest alien and UFO inspired gift shop near Las Vegas!
  • Rhyolite - See Rhyolite Ghost town that was so prominent in its rise in 1904 that instead of wooden construction for the buildings in town they used concrete which has left behind a spooky skeleton of an early 20th century gold rush!

Also see art exhibits of the Goldwell Open Air Museum.

  • Death Valley National Park - Enter through Hells Gate where we stop and view the largest national park in the lower 48 states of the United States.
  • Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes - Take a few minutes to wander the collection of wind erosion culminating in huge sand dunes in the middle of Death Valley. Also the site of famous science fiction Hollywood cinema filming.
  • Burned Wagons Point - Have Lunch at the Toll Road Restaurant and see the famous Burned Wagons Point Memorial.
  • Furnace Creek Visitor Center - The famous Death Valley thermometer awaits outside the visitor center. Inside you can see the following: topographical map of the entire area, history of the region, view examples of wildlife, and much more!

Souvenirs, gifts, and restrooms also available here.

  • Badwater - Beautiful scenic drive through the valley to Badwater Basin to walk on the lowest elevation in North America. The air is more dense and the water on site is not drinkable, hence the name!
  • Artists Palette - View or even walk on the volcanic exposition of colors, hills and canyons.
  • Zabriskie Point - Christian Zabriskie’s name from Borax mining fame adorns this spectacular vista showcasing natures erosive abilities. Hiking trails all around and famous Hollywood filming locations too.
  • Dante’s View - See the highest paved viewpoint in Death Valley with views across that are further and deeper than Grand Canyon West and rivaling Grand Canyon National Park’s widest point.

Sometimes we will substitute another higher location when weather and conditions permit.

An amazing day tour in Death Valley National Park - This was a fascinating day tour of Death Valley National Park and extremely well organized. Brian is an highly knowledgeable and helpful guide who truly goes above and beyond - one of the best tour guides I have ever met. Pick up from the hotel was at 3am so that we would be at Death Valley by 5am for the sunrise, which was stunning. The scenery at each of the stops was just amazing. There was plenty of water provided by the tour, and also several stops for food and restrooms. Despite the June temperatures the air con kept the van cool, and the amount of walking required was comfortable. Brian even added some extra destinations that weren't in the official itinerary. Everyone in our group of 5 had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend choosing this tour.

Incredible Death Valley Tour - Death Valley, despite the heat, was incredible! The total tour time was about 11 hours, which our tour guide Jason made pass by so quickly! He was funny and educational, giving us the right amount of time for each stop. I never felt rushed, learned a lot, always felt safe and taken care of. Would 100% recommend MojaveWaveLLC!

Death Valley - I took the Death Valley Tour from Las Vegas and had a great time. I traveled solo and enjoyed meeting new people in our small group. Jason was an excellent tour guide. He provided a lot of information on Death Valley and the surrounding area. This tour was the highlight of my trip.

Excellent trip to Death Valley - This is an excellent tour, starting with an early start (2:30 am) to ensure seeing the stars in a dark sky and the sun rising above the mountain three times as the trip descends, through to the great diversity of geology, vegetation and human occupance, returning to Las Vegas 12 hours later, avoiding the hottest time. Guide Jason was excellent in his knowledge of Death Valley, his 'entertaining' style, with a wealth of 'jokes' and questions, and his ability to get the most out of the day, given the variability in conditions in the Valley. Highly recommended with a small group (four in our case).

Adventurous Valley Tour - This is a phenomenal tour from start to finish! Communication, pick-up, transportation and points of interest were great. The tour starts with a star gazing opportunity, followed by two sunrise opportunities, leading to several Death Valley desert stops, while incorporating some additional surprise points of interest. Jason is a great guide who offers knowledge and a refreshing sense of humor. This is a top rated excursion for an adventurous Death Valley tour offered through a great tour company. This is a must see excursion!

Top Notch Death Valley Excursion! - This excursion is phenomenal from start to finish. The journey begins with an early morning pick for an memorable stargazing opportunity in the desert moving onto not one but two sunrise opportunities. With the sun shining, the rest of the journey provides an ongoing opportunity to view the awe and beauty of this never ending landscape. We could not have asked for a greater guide. Jason is extremely knowledgeable, considerate of his tour group and very flexible, with any added quality of bringing humor to the group. Lots of laughs and several interesting facts were shared through out the excursion. We rarely sign-up for tours, but this is an absolute must with a top notch tour company. Highly recommended!

Death Valley or Jakku - This was the absolute highlight of our Las Vegas trip. Jason was our guide, and he completely knocked it out of the park. He made a point to ensure our group of 5 had the best time. He was funny, extremely personable, and wanted to ensure ‘no one died’ on his watch. Which was great since it was hot as blue blazes! Death Valley was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before; it’s like a different planet. Stunning!!! I would do this trip a million times over!!!
