Another theory is that the Prinsengracht canal was once nicknamed Jordaan (the Dutch name for the river Jordan) and that the neighborhood beyond the canal came to be called this as well. Lovely 1 hr canel cruise - Lovely canel cruise so relaxing and loved the amsterdam stories. It was at 20.00 but I think maybe even later would also be nice lights where coming on as the trip ended and it darken would be lovely in night view too. Had a few drinks and chilled and listened to the sightseeing experience.

Scenic trip with knowledgable hosts, and cheese - Lovely. Cool after a very hot day. Stunning sunset over the canals. Learnt a lot about Amsterdam and enjoyed the cheese and wine.

Could be better! - Beautiful canal boat. Lovely peaceful cruise along the water. We would have liked the live guide to explain more what we were seeing etc. Rather than random facts about the city. The guide also was preoccupied serving wine and cheese to the guests that had requested this. Wouldn't recommend to others.

very nice - the staff is super nice and friendly, they made the experience 10 times better. i also recommend going around 9:30pm in order to see the bridges lightened

Room for improvement - The small snippets of information shared were worthwhile however there was insufficient information provided. For instance it would have been enlightening to hear what canals we were on, buildings and areas of significance. Questions were invited however it’s fair to say sometimes you need the information supplied without prompting. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately a couple of passengers talked loudly throughout the trip, making it difficult for crew and fellow passengers

Yay - Difficult to find the place even with Google Maps so take your time and go an hour or hour and a half before to ask where the place is, apart from that everything was wonderful, lights, beautiful photos, pleasant moments, cheeses, wine or beer was amazing, recommended

Don’t waste your time or money!!! - This was a waste of time & money!! First of all, our group was combined with another group that had purchased canal cruise tickets with the wine & cheese package…that wouldn’t have been an issue however the young ladies at the back of the boat that were drinking were so loud & drunk that you couldn’t hear anything the guides had to say. Secondly, we expected the cruise to be informative with the guides pointing out various landmarks along the cruise route as noted in the cruise details (e.g. Anne Frank’s house and the Red Light District…etc)…they did not…however the drunk ladies in the back never shut up!! Thirdly, the canal cruise was to run for about an hour…our canal cruise was to start at 8:00 pm but we did not leave until 8:10 and we were back by 8:50 pm. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Viator never responded and we never took the cruise. - We never took this tour because your meeting location instructions were too confusing. Even our Uber driver couldn't figure out where to drop us off. I wrote to you on the contact info you provided and NO ONE EVER RESPONDED UNTIL THE NEXT DAY!!! I want a refund.
