Highlights
  • Flagship Amsterdam - The itinerary varies slightly depending on the departure location, each offering its own unique charm. For more details, please reach out to our support team.

  • The Jordaan - The most popular theory about the name’s origin is that it comes from the French word ‘Jardin,’ meaning garden, as many streets and canals in the Jordaan are named after trees and flowers. Another theory suggests that the Prinsengracht canal was once called Jordaan (the Dutch name for the river Jordan), and the neighborhood beyond the canal adopted this name. Our Flagship canal tour begins and ends in the Jordaan.

  • Westerkerk - The Westerkerk (English: Western Church) is a Reformed church within the Dutch Protestant church, located in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is situated in the westernmost part of the Grachtengordel neighborhood (Centrum borough), adjacent to the Jordaan, between the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht.

  • Koninklijk Theater Carre - The Royal Theatre Carré (Dutch: Koninklijk Theater Carré) is a Neo-Renaissance theatre in Amsterdam, near the river Amstel. Founded in 1887, it was initially intended as a permanent circus building. Today, it primarily hosts musicals, cabaret performances, and pop concerts.

  • Rijksmuseum - The Rijksmuseum was established in The Hague in 1800 and relocated to Amsterdam in 1808, initially housed in the Royal Palace and later in the Trippenhuis. The current main building, designed by Pierre Cuypers, opened in 1885. After a ten-year renovation costing €375 million, the main building was reopened by Queen Beatrix on 13 April 2013. In 2013 and 2014, it was the most visited museum in the Netherlands, attracting 2.2 million and 2.47 million visitors, respectively. It is also the largest art museum in the country. Our boats will cruise along the Prinsengracht, offering views of the Rijksmuseum.

The museum showcases 8,000 objects of art and history from its total collection of 1 million objects spanning the years 1200–2000, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. It also features a small Asian collection displayed in the Asian pavilion.

  • Anne Frank House - Located on the historic Prinsengracht, this renowned house was the hiding place for Anne Frank and her family during World War II.
  • Dutch National Opera & Ballet - The Dutch National Opera (DNO; formerly De Nederlandse Opera, now De Nationale Opera in Dutch) is an opera company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Its current home is the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, housed in the Stopera building, a modern structure designed by Cees Dam and Wilhelm Holzbauer, which opened in 1986.
  • Magere Brug - Known to English speakers as the Skinny Bridge, the beautiful Magere Brug is one of Amsterdam’s many bridges. This wooden drawbridge was once so narrow that two pedestrians could barely pass each other. To accommodate increasing traffic on the Amstel, a wider bridge replaced the original in 1871.
  • Herengracht - The three main canals (Herengracht, Prinsengracht, and Keizersgracht), dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside these canals are 1,550 monumental buildings. The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht, and Jordaan, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, enhancing Amsterdam’s reputation as the “Venice of the North.”
  • Seven Bridges View Point - Due to the curved nature of most canals in Amsterdam, seeing through so many bridges at once is a rare sight!
  • Munt Tower (Munttoren) - The Munttoren (mint tower) was originally part of the Regulierspoort, which consisted of a gate with a tower on each side. Built between 1480 and 1487 as part of the medieval city wall, the tower was used to mint coins in the 17th century.
  • The Amstel - The Amstel is the largest canal, and Amsterdam was founded around it when fishermen built a “dam” and named the area Amsterdam.

Highly recommend tour through Flagship Amsterdam - The canals of Amsterdam by themselves are a beauty to see, regardless of what operator you go through. However, Flagship Amsterdam was tremendous. Our two lady guides (Sorry forgot their names) were great! Very personable and much knowledge was shared.

Titanic Boat Canal Tour - Canal boat cruise was charming inside covered boat, sightseeing the beautiful city all while getting a wonderful tour with historical explanations from two nice guides, Rose and Katy. Wine and cheese board is offered for additional cost, well worth it, Tour directly in front of Ann Frank house. Highly recommend canal tour!

Good Experience - Crew was very friendly. I was in the back of the boat. Unfortunately couldn't hear the presentation about the city all that well.

Okay for the money but there are probably better options - It was okay. The tour guide and boat captain were lovely but it wasn’t as informational as I had hoped though I did enjoy that they added more of an interactive style to the tour. The boat was covered so it was hard to get good pictures or to see out of both sides. (Admittedly it was a rare sunny day so I wish we’d had an open boat though I’m sure in the colder months or wetter days, a covered boat Is coveted. Most people on our boat kept talking over the tour guide but she did her best to be loud enough. I would say a canal tour is a must in Amsterdam but I don’t think I’d choose this one again.
