Highlights
  • Red Light District (De Wallen) - Amsterdam’s red light district is a fascinating part of town. Aside from the infamous windows, there is a lot more to discover about ‘de Wallen’ as we call it in Dutch. This area is my expertise and I’ve been giving talks and tours about it for the last 10 years.
  • Nieuwmarkt - A historic square and home of the ‘Waag’, an interesting building with a secret in the attic…
  • Dam Square - The iconic square with the royal palace, new church, war monument and more. We call this the beating heart of Amsterdam. Find out why in the tour
  • Centraal Station - A beautiful building, built to be the first pretty train station in the Netherlands. From here to can take the train everywhere in the country, and even Paris and London!
  • Museum Het Rembrandthuis - See the building where Rembrandt lived and worked. You’ll find out more about him during this tour, walking past meaningful buildings in his life.
  • Zuiderkerkstoren - A famous church that played a big part in Rembrandt’s life, painted by Monet
  • Rembrandtplein - The heart of clubbing in Amsterdam, also home of statues, history and sometimes a little art market.
  • Munt Tower (Munttoren) - An old city gate. Find out why the Amsterdammers don’t use its original name!
  • Anne Frank House - We’ll pass the Anne Frank house, a historic building on our way towards the Jordaan district
  • Westertoren - The highest church tower in Amsterdam. Also the final resting place of a very famous person…
  • Begijnhof - A hidden courtyard, right in the center of town. Learn about why only women were living in most courtyards in Amsterdam!
  • Holocaust Namenmonument - An impressive monument for a dark time in history. We will see more sights on the east side of town, reminding us of WW2.
