Absolutely Spectacular Tour - The nine (9) hour Keukenhof Tulip Gardens and Zaanse Windmill Tour was spectacular. We spent the morning in Zaanse viewing the windmills and historical village, and visiting a local dairy farm/ cheese and wooden clog manufacturing facility. Each stop provided its own historical interest and photographic opportunities. We then traveled on our private bus to the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. Let me start by saying that we missed the height of the blooming season by several weeks (an early Spring in the Netherlands). That said the gardens are spectacular. It is hard to believe that the gardens are only open 2.5 months each year during the blooming season. Even without the full glory of the tulips the grounds are beautiful. To compensate for an early Spring, the gardens provided hundreds of temporary planters filled with beautiful tulips and daffodils to appease the late flock of tourists. The sculpture and rhododendrons (and other woody flowering bushes) are amazing. We took hundreds of photographs to remember the experience. To top off our experience, we purchased five dozen tulip and daffodil bulbs that will be shipped to my home in October that I will enjoy for years to come. A wonderful day well worth the price.

Surpassed my high expectations - Visiting Amsterdam during tulip season was on my bucket list and even though we went at the tail end of the bloom, Keukenhof was amazing. So much color, so many thoughtful and creative vignettes to experience. The bus ride there was easy and relaxing and the ability to take a shuttle back to the city at our leisure made this a perfect day.

Cold, Wet and Spectacular! - The tour company was on time and communicated well! The guide and driver were knowledgeable, friendly & courteous. Despite the weather, we had a fantastic experience with the guides, the locations and, of course, the tulips! Highly recommend! #bucketlist

Time well spent - Our tour was informative and interesting. We got a great overview of several topics - windmills, wooden shoes, cheeses, Dutch history and life. We especially liked touring an authentic working wind mill. Tour guide David was very knowledgeable and personable, and spoke English clearly. The tulips were at the end of their season (May 6), so while they were beautiful, we definitely missed the peak of the season. Even so, the Gardens were gorgeous and very enjoyable to visit. The whole tour was well-organized and on time. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic small group tour - This small group tour was so enjoyable. We visited an operating windmill and learned about the different uses of windmills. We saw how the wooden shoes were made and how they are made now. We learned about chocolate beans being made into chocolate and how the Netherlands is a major producer. We enjoyed our time at the huge tulip gardens. The tour bus driver was able to drop us off very close to our hotel since it was on his way.

A must see tour of the highlights outside of Amsterdam city! - Great locations with ample time in each. Callum was an amazing guide and the small group size ensured we skipped the lines and received personalized demonstrations and explanations.

Tulips were beautiful in... - Tulips were beautiful in spite of rain. Windmills were interesting but too commercial. Guide was good.

Friendly and engaging but tulips past their best - I didn’t know what to expect and I thought we were visiting the tulip fields, but there was a lot to see at Keukenhof, although a lot of the tulips were not at their best - presumably because it was late in the season but also because it rained so much in April. The star of the day was the tour guide. Toas, at Zaansee. She was friendly, knowledgable and engaging. Overall we got a lot from our day

Timing is everything for this event! - When considering this event, timing is everything. We went on May 9, and the tulip fields had been harvested. At the Kuekenhof, the vast majority of the flowers were dying. Very disappointing, and in our opinion, this event should not really be offered in May. April is the peak time to enjoy the tulips and other flowers, which is why I’m sure most everyone books this excursion. That said, the rest of the trip was enjoyable. We saw the wooden clogs made, cheese class, and the windmills. Logistically everything was on time with no problems. The tour company personnel were very nice and enjoyed their jobs. Would’ve given this five stars without hesitation, if we had been able to see fields of tulips like everyone expects.

Windmills and Tulips - Was a bit drawn out especially the time at the gardens with no real easy way to get around such a vast area
