- Kasteel de Haar - Kasteel de Haar is only a 45-minute drives from Amsterdam and takes you back in time. We take you into a magical fairy tale to the most impressive medieval castle in the Netherlands! We have about 3 hours to explore the historic castle and the park and have lunch in the restaurant! At the end, we will drive back to Amsterdam which takes about 45 minutes.
Please note: there are a lot of narrow stairs in the castle!

Join us for a journey to the most stunning castle in the Netherlands. Our trip from Amsterdam begins at 10:15 am. Kasteel de Haar can be reached within a 45-minute drive from Amsterdam, providing a glimpse into the past. Our intimate group tour offers around 3.5 hours to explore the castle’s magnificent rooms, gardens, and the picturesque park surrounding it. Kasteel de Haar boasts of its abundant and luxurious history and the numerous unique stories that lie within its castle walls. As we travel, our local guide will share insights about the Netherlands and respond to any questions you may have.

We will leave from De Ruijterkade 153, 1011 AC Amsterdam, next to the ALOHA café (at the end of the River Cruises Docks, under the big bowling pin). It is behind the Central Train Station. Take the IJ exit of the Central Station and turn right, keep the water on your left and walk 300m (1/4 Mi)!

Excellent tour and guide! - We had a wonderful time exploring Castle De Haar with Sarah! She took us from room to room telling us stories about the De Haar family and pointing out details we would have missed. She was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and the small group size was perfect. We also had some free time for a quick lunch and to wander around on our own. Highly recommend this tour and Sarah!

Amazing Tour and even greater guide! - It was a day to remember. We were blown away by the beauty of the castle, which exuded an aura of elegance. Our guide Eva presented the history of the castle with infectious enthusiasm. Each room we explored was accompanied by interesting anecdotes and intriguing trivia, making the experience not only educational but also immensely enjoyable. The ride to the castle was fun as well, since Eva told us the history of the surrounding area and recommended some other places to visit.
The small groups make the tour much more personal and memorable. Wholeheartedly recommend this one!

Excellent half day! - What a beautiful half day experience! Our guide was lovely and not only told us a lot about the castle and the family, but along the drive she talked with us about daily life in Holland. She’s lived all over, but is from Holland and had an excellent perspective. The castle and grounds are beautiful! Definitely highly recommended.

Win win castle tour with Ava !!! - Loved our tour guide. She (Ava) was very informed on time and answered all our questions about the castle and Amsterdam . She was easy to talk to would book it again with her !! The castle was also amazing so much history. Well organized tour .We also got to walk the grounds before we left and had a chance to hit the café.😀
