Additional Information

STRAAT pays homage to the eclectic variety that embodies the most influential art movement of our era: street art. The ever-evolving display at the Museum for Graffiti & Street art in Amsterdam begins even before you enter. The building’s exterior features a mammoth, multicolored depiction of Anne Frank. Artists across the globe have swapped graffiti sprawled across cities like New York, Tokyo and São Paulo for a more conventional medium. Despite the shift, the scale remains unchanged; the giant canvases reflect the large lives and narratives of the artists who have presented their work here.

Best for young adult/teen creatives! - If you have creative young adults or teens with you on your trip, the STRAAT is a must! We absolutely loved the inspiration, unique exhibits and historical reference to graffiti that Amsterdam embraces. Different from the other, more touristy museums with ability to come in at your leisure, so you can book the tour and fit it into your day as required. Amazing artists!

Worth the trip - you have to see this place. - Get on the free ferry and head over to NDSM to see this fascinating museum for street art and graffiti. Lots of huge artworks complimented by the stories behind them, and there's also a café and shop to enjoy too.

Absolute Must! - Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The art was Awesome!!! So much to see and quite varied. We spent about 2 hours...which was reasonable....could have spent much more if you read everything or listened to the full audioguide. It was a great space and lots to see. We got the free audio guide...but found it noisy and distracting. So we downloaded it and will check it out later. Suggest earbuds or headphones so you dont ruin others experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets, lockers, and cafe are all clean and easy to use/navigate. Steep stairs to the toilets. **Make sure you get the right ferry. We got the wrong one and had to walk for 40mins lol.

#mustdoandhavefun - Impressive backdrop for an art exhibition. Impressive pictures in huge formats. The artistic but contemporary contrast to Rembrandt and van Gogh.

Breathtaking ! - Breathtaking ! The first word that comes to mind. Initially, I went there to surprise my 16-year-old daughter, and in the end I was stunned by the beauty of the works and their gigantism. I am an amateur painter, I appreciate even more the talent of the artists exhibited in this place full of character! An experience to live without a doubt.

Simply great 👍 - This tour was definitely worth the money! We took the ferry (from Amsterdam Central Station) there without any specific idea. We were so impressed by the skills of the graffiti artists. A very special place to present this art in an old industrial hall. By the way, visit the lovingly decorated cafe. Ate the best tomato soup during our stay in Amsterdam there. Very tasty 😋

Giant warehouse of giant art - Wonderful experience visiting this museum. Diverse array of large scale art and murals. Audio tour for your phone is available. Descriptions of the art are informative. Display panels explain the street art movement. Highlight was watching numerous artists at work on their pieces. Highly recommended Straat!!
