Maximizing Your Time at Zaanse Schans - If you have very limited time to visit Zaanse Schans (ZS) trust Diana, our tour guide, to maximize your time from pickup at Amsterdam Central Station to visiting the main highlights at ZS. From pre-purchased train tickets, to planning the walking trail in ZS to avoid the bus tour crowds, to knowing when to enter the demo areas so that you have the place all to yourself and just a few other people - Diana will ensure your time at ZS is both fruitful and enjoyable. Never did we feel being herded from one place to another in a rushed manner like in most bus tours. Thank you, Diana - we even had time to do a 1hr canal cruise when we went back to Amsterdam Central Station prior to boarding our cruise ship.

Maximizing Your Time at Zaanse Schans - Diana, our tour guide, was so helpful in maximizing our short cruise excursion time in Amsterdam. Train tickets from Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans were pre-purchased so that the minute our family met up with her at Amsterdam Central Station, we got to board the next train to Zaanse Schans and reached the destination within 17 minutes. Then, while we were touring the area, Diana planned and timed our itinerary in such a way that we would go first to those areas with less group tours. Once she knew that group tours had left a popular spot (such as the clog-making demo area), that would be the time she would lead us to that area. The result was that we were able to cover so much of Zaanse Schans in just 2 hours. Also, unlike other bus tours where there were numerous negative reviews of feeling being rushed and herded from one place to another, we felt we were doing the tour at a relaxed place with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Once we had covered the main points of interest in Zaanse Scahns, Diana gave us the freedom to wander around the area on our own but made sure we knew how to get back to Amsterdam Central Station. We even had enough time to do a 1 hour canal cruise when we returned to Amsterdam Central Station. And the final icing on the cake was that since we were the only ones who had booked with her for the designated time, the shared group tour turned out to be a private tour for our family. We highly recommend booking this tour if you want to visit Zaanse Schans and have limited time. Thank you so much again, Diana!

A must-see in the region - Very pleasant place, you can walk around peacefully, allow 2 to 3 hours on the site, it's great to go there from Amsterdam by train.

Enjoyable tour of Zaanse Schans - Despite my wife and I being the only people to book the tour for this time, Diane was more than happy to go ahead with it. So we essentially had a private tour. Diane is very knowledgeable about the Zaanse Schans region having lived there for some time and was able to impart that knowledge to us in a very clear and thorough way. The village itself is beautiful and it was a very interesting tour learning about its history and efforts to conserve the windmills.

Zaanse Schans small group tour - Diana showed us around Zaanse Schans on the 8am tour. It was nice and quiet and she pointed out lots of interesting highlights during the tour. We loved the small group tour and taking the train with her gave us a special view of the town that you don’t get on the big bus tours. We highly recommend a tour with Diana, she is very knowledgeable being a local and will cater to all your individual questions and interests.

Excellent day tour outside of Amsterdam - This tour explores the Windmill town just outside of Amsterdam. We got to visit a wooden shoe factory and cheese shop while seeing the windmills in person.

A truly great day on our vacation. - We were treated like royalty from time we met Dianna until the end of our tour. She grew up in the midst of these windmills, has raised her family there and knows most all of the windmill community. What a lucky thing for us, especially as you see the crowd of as many as 70 people being herded about from other tour groups along with dozens of others wandering around trying to figure out where to go and looking lost. Best tour ever!
