Highlights
  • Bayon Temple - Your day begins with an 8:00AM pickup from your hotel lobby. You’ll be transported to the ancient city via its South Gate. At the heart of the city stands the Bayon Temple, where 216 mysterious faces silently observe the horizon, leaving one to ponder the history they’ve witnessed. Your guide will highlight the best photography spots and explain the detailed carvings on the gallery walls. Next, you’ll visit Baphuon, known for its long causeway and the impressive giant Reclining Buddha, which was reassembled in 2011 after a 37-year hiatus due to war. Phimeanakas, nestled in the shaded jungle, offers a rewarding treetop view for those who brave the steep climb. Further along, you’ll see the Esplanade of the Royal Palace, commonly referred to as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
  • Ta Prohm Temple - Famous for its appearance in the Tomb Raider movie, the enchanting Ta Prohm is a must-see. Here, nature intertwines with ancient structures as the roots of the golden Spung tree (Tetrameles Nudiflora) envelop the moss-covered stones.
  • Angkor Wat - Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument ever constructed, invites hours of exploration. Marvel at the temple’s grandeur, its multiple levels, and the intricate carvings that adorn its galleries. Your guide’s stories will revive the ancient times of Angkor.
  • Angkor Thom South Gate - On one side of the moat, 54 ‘devas’ (guardian gods) pull the head of the serpent ‘Shesha,’ while on the opposite side, 54 ‘asuras’ (demon gods) pull the serpent’s tail in the other direction.
  • Baphuon Temple - Constructed in the mid-11th century (1060) by King Udayadityavarman II, Baphuon is dedicated to the Hindu god Siva.
  • Phimeanakas - Built in the late 10th to early 11th century by Kings Jayavamen V and Udayadityavarman I, Phimeanakas is dedicated to Hinduism.

Great family day at the temples - We enjoyed our tour with Chansip! We went with 2 kids and 3 adults. He had so much great information and really enhanced our time at the temples. We had been told a guide wasn’t needed but we found that having a guide helped us understand the temples better and show us some neat facts. It was also nice to be able to ask questions about life in Cambodia. An added bonus - having a photographer that could take good photos of our group! We had lots of cold water provided which was great on the warm day. Thank you for a lovely day!

Amazing adventure with a knowledgeable guide - Silong was an amazing guide and driver! Originally brought us from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap with stops along the way. Helped us out with the local language barrier and was fun to tour with. Showed us some amazing local spots outside of the stops we requested. Enjoyed him so much we asked for a tour the next day of the temples which he said yes. The second day was much better with him there. He is very knowledgeable of Cambodian history explaining everything to us along the way. He also knows where to eat great food so be sure to ask for his recommendations. Can't wait to come back and tour with him again.

Fantastic trip in Siem Reap - A fantastic tour with a fantastic guide, Chansip. He is really great at keeping you interested throughout the entire day and you do learn about the history of the temples and their histories on Hinduism and Buddhism. The highlight for me was Ta Prohm; it felt more remote and the ruins were really interesting. Overall a fantastic day and definitely worth booking!
