Annaba “ex-Bone” is the fourth largest city of Algeria located on the coastline of the Mediterranean sea. It has an excellent natural port that drew the Phoenicians here some 3000 years ago. The town is most famous for the theologian and philosopher Saint Augustine who was formed in Hippo Regius, one of the most beautiful Roman Ruins of Annaba.

In the Footsteps of St Augustine - Such a lovely trip around Annaba with Fancyellow. Amina was a great guide - explaining all the sights and sites - we particularly enjoyed ancient Hippo and the spectacular Basilica of St Augustine. Wonderful trip that gave us an excellent insight.

Excellent tour of lovely Annaba - Fancyellow’s Islam organised a wonderful tour of the museum, ancient Hippo, the Basilica of St Augustine and the Kasbah, before driving along the coast for beautiful views of the coastline. Our guide, Amina was very ibformative, but also funny - and she gave us a great insight into Algerian life.
