Amazing trek - This was a fantastic trek. Thank you Dil for organising us last minute. A massive thank you to Tilak who was the best guide we could’ve hoped for. He treated us like family, looked after us every step of the way, showed us all the best local food to enjoy and kept us going up the (many) stairs. The views are incredible, the stairs endless and the people are very very kind. I would recommend this tour and Tilak to everyone.

Outstanding trek with a great guide! - We booked this trek very last minute once we had arrived in Nepal but Dil was very accomodating to get everything organised and ready for us quickly. Tilak (our guide) was fantastic and treated us like part of his own family, being very aware of our energy levels as we hiked up to Base Camp, and making sure we were fueled up with Dal Bhat and cookies at all of the rest stops! The scenery during the trek was sensational, and we were fortunate enough to have great views of the mountains when we woke up at Base Camp! Would highly recommend this trip to everyone!

Experienced Mountain Guide, Chhetra Bahadur Bishwokarma - Chhetra, from Mountain Monkeys, was our guide during our trek up to Annapurna Base Camp. His 30 years of experience made us feel safe. The Himalaya’s are serious stuff and can be dangerous at times. I was very happy my student children and I were in good hands. But it was all the stories Chhetra told that brought magic to our trek. About how the local people live, we visited a school and about all the wildlife we encountered. You can contact Chhetra directly at: chhetra_bk@yahoo.com

Annapurna base camp trek with great guide Samir - I was nervous before the tour, because I had almost no experience of climbing mountains. I was slow when walking up and sometimes got out of breath, but I was able to make it to Annapurna base camp and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Our tour guide Samir was great. He was kind, patient, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and he always made sure that I am safe and feeling okay. From the middle of the way up, when I felt exhausted, he carried all my stuff for me. I couldn’t have made it without him. If you are not sure if you are strong enough, I recommend that you ask Dil first. Dil and guide will make a good plan for your unforgettable experience.

Epic journey to Annapurna Base camp! - I recently trekked solo to Annapurna Base Camp and it was so fabulous. Thanks to the suggestions by TripAdvisor, everything went so smooth, and it was an experience of my lifetime. Booking and Planning: Booking the trek through TripAdvisor has been quite easy. All the necessary information about what to expect from the trek and what to carry was well described at the site. It made planning quite easy because now I am sure of the adventure I am about to plunge into. The trek was just out of this world. From the lush forests that start it to the brilliant views up in the mountains, it was just spectacular. The massive peaks standing at Annapurna Basecamp one would never forget. The scenery changes daily, and just reaching the base camp at the end of the trek feels fantastic. Can't complain. Support and guidance: What made the experience even better was the tremendous support and guidance I got from the local guides and porters. They are so knowledgeable and make sure that you are safe and comfortable during this walk. The lodges and food along the way are great, hence adding to the total dimension of this journey. Overall: If you're thinking of trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp, I really suggest you use TripAdvisor for help on your itinerary. The information and suggestions are on point and are great contributors to what made my trek so memorable. In the event you can't book from them, definitely do it through TripAdvisor. Cheers to TripAdvisor for making it such a trip!

Amazing/ challenging/ rewarding ! - Hi would like to thank Dil for organising a fantastic and very memorable trip and too Prashant for being our amazing guide. I took my two sons on this incredible trip, which we will remember for a very long time. It was the monsoon season and we had our challenges, but we had an unforgettable experience. It was both tough and rewarding at the same time. I would really recommend it to all you want to physical challenge and to experience the beautiful mountain range of Nepal and the Himalayas. Alpine were great and nothing was too much trouble - so thank you. Namaste to all and I hope you get to enjoy the experience as we did x

Trip of a lifetime - I would highly recommend Alpine Ramble. Dil, the owner of the company, was extremely helpful and always responded to my questions very promptly. My friend and I fell in love with our guide and porter, Saugot and Manoj, and they had us laughing and in good spirits the entire trek. Beautiful adventure. Use Alpine Ramble for sure!!

ABC June 2024 - Went to ABC mid-June 2024 with my boyfriend. We had previously organised everything with Dill, who was super responsive on whatsapp, answering to all our doubts (we also had a last-minute change on the initial date of the trek and he was very kind and flexible about it). Luxman and Jack accompanied us, they were the best guide and porter we could have had, always attentive and taking care of us. Luxman is super experienced and knows everything about the mountains, its people and the nepali culture. His energy is super inspiring, and we learned a lot from him. Our experience was magical, we were almost alone and we got great views of the astonishing mountains on mornings and evenings, after the typical monsoon rain in the afternoon. We completed the trek in 8 days and we cannot wait to come back to Nepal and continue discovering this incredible country. Thank you Dill, Luxman and Jack, for making our trip one that we will never forget.

Be careful - I do not recommend doing the tour in 5 days (the standard itinerary for almost all agencies is 7-10 days) unless you are used to altitudes of 4000 meters. Before starting the tour, the agency itself gives you a guide with recommendations saying that you should not climb more than 600m per day. However, on 1 of the days you climb more than 1200m. The result was that my wife and I had moderate altitude sickness with oxygen levels of around 83. Remember that at the base camp, if you get very sick at night, the helicopter will not be able to rescue you and you will have to wait until morning. Another risk that should be considered is avalanche. We went in March 2024 and witnessed an avalanche on the way up that almost hit some people. On the way down, the next day, we saw that a huge avalanche had passed through the trail the night before. I recommend avoiding going in that month. Apart from the bad part, the trekking is spectacular with incredible views and is well worth doing (with the right duration and at the right time of year).
