Additional Information

SANDLAND (Antalya Sand Sculpture Museum), is a top-tier event for sand sculpture globally. Sand sculpting, a unique and fleeting art form, has been growing in global recognition in recent times. Only sand and water are used in sand sculpting activities, which falls within the realm of alternative arts. Sand Sculptors either work solo or in teams of 2-3 members. The resulting creations are monumental, weighing thousands of tons and spanning several meters in height and length, all achieved with just water and sand. The essence of sand sculpture art is the acceptance that everything is transitory and will eventually fade away. The theme for Sandland 2021 is Atlantis. Additionally, visitors can view representations of the 7 Wonders of the World such as Chichen Itza, Keops Pyramid, Halikarnas Mosolleum, among others. There will also be workshops at the Magic Sand Castle, providing children with a fun-filled first experience of sand sculpture.

Visit if you have time - I spent one evening in Antalya for a week for this visit. It's hard to believe that the statues are made of sand. The works found there are truly the product of great labor. The stages of making the sculptures are also shown in a video. Some statues were damaged due to physical conditions, but these do not prevent you from having an idea about the works, and there are no incomprehensible statues whose integrity has been damaged. It is a place that I would recommend to see for those who are in Antalya and have time (I think not only foreign tourists but also Turks should see it). I find it useful to spend the money that would be spent on a drink or two on such visits. I learned that the theme changes every year, I would like to visit again.

Very large Beautiful Decorative Sand Sculpture Museum in Lara Beach Antalya / Türkiye - Right next to Lara Beach is a Sand Sculpture Museum in a very beautiful large decorative design. It has been operating for 12 years. Working hours are from 09:00 to 23:00. You can see figures of space, planets, cosmonauts, pyramids, pharaohs, and sci-fi, disney, movie heroes. The sand sculptures look very real. They have given a very beautiful decor. The Sand statues look very beautiful in the evening, with red and yellow lighting, the statues come to life and look magnificent. In addition you can see the Moon close with a telescope. Under the sounds of beautiful space music walking there and looking at the sculptures is a pleasure. The entrance ticket prices are different, the prices are different for local citizens and tourists, with the ticket you bought, you can go in and out several times during the day, you can go to the beach and come back again for a beautiful light show in the evening. It is one of the most interesting and must-see tourist places in Antalya. Everyone who comes to Antalya must visit this museum, it is a museum worth the money you pay.

Great way to spend 30 minutes - We visited the sand sculpture museum as a family. The weather was perfect for the visit. There are plenty of sculptures, currently a space theme so many characters from sci fi films. There was a play area for children. Entrance is cheap (around £7 for adults). I would recommend a visit.

Sand land - The advertisement is far more better than the reality. The scene is a small place roughly takes about 15-30 minutes. So it’s rather disappointing as a tourist travels from somewhere to the place. Of course, if you had some spare time to spend during a day, it is not a bad idea to see these sculptures.

Short visit with cheap entry - We did this visit in about 15 minutes on New Year’s Day. It’s OK. Some of the sculptures were worn. Cheap entry so can’t complain too much.

Not to go - Terrible, everything in poor condition and without any interest. It is tremendously expensive for what it is. It may be fine to start a new one, but the existing one has been around for about 4 years and no one takes care of it.

Null - Hello useless, the tour in 15 minutes on an area of 200m2. And the worst thing is paying 5 times the price compared to the locals. That is 10€ per person and 5€ for children under 4 years old.
