HIGHLY RECOMMEND - You get your moneys worth and even more! I loved how personal the tour was and can’t recommend doing this enough. I usually dislike black coffee, but this coffee was so good without anything added. The corn tortillas and avocados were the best that I have ever tasted, and I’ll never find a tortilla that taste as good. Definitely recommend doing this if you’re a foodie!

Highly recommend! - Really wonderful tour of Maykol’s farm. It was extremely interesting to listen to him teach us about his sustainable process and all of the work he has put into it. The food was all delicious and unbelievably fresh. Getting to make my own tortillas and roast my own coffee was unforgettable. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone.

Leading the Way - I spent several hours at the Little Green Farm, learning so much about green farming, as the owner, Mykol, took time to explain about the many kinds of trees and plants on the farm, as well as showing me the green, environmental, sustainable farming techniques behind what they are producing, and so many fascinating details about the farm, which has been in the family for generations. Michael (Mykol in Spanish) was clear, interesting, and patient, and not only did I get to enjoy the beautiful setting, with views of volcanoes on all sides, and taste some delicious fruits of the land, I learned a whole lot more about eco-friendly farming techniques that they are using, and in some ways, pioneering. Mykol builds on his background and vast experience in both Guatemala and US in agriculture. I believe he is a true visionary and is leading the way in Latin America in ecologically sensitive and wise farming techniques, many of which are used on the farm. I made a video of my experience there - check it out on Instagram at 1BigWorld Traveler. :-) Whether you want to see a beautiful farm and taste delicious, locally-made products, or you're interested in deep-diving to learn about sustainable, green farming, this is a must-do while in Antigua! It's also a great way to connect with local people and culture, and if you're lucky, you might get a great restaurant recommendation too, as they supply organic produce to some awesome places to dine! Oh, and be sure to allow some time before or after your tour at the pickup spot to learn more about Guatemalan jade - one of only five countries of the world where jade is found. The items they have on display, and the educational component make this another "don't miss when in Antigua" opportunity. One of the highlights of my time in this World Heritage City, in the amazing nation of Guatemala!

Memorable experience - The farm tour was amazing! The entire family left raving about how much they enjoyed it. We loved the interactive experience of making fresh tortillas and coffee, and also getting to sample avocado and honey from the farm. Everything was delicious! This family business is clearly a source of pride and joy for Michael who is excited to share his tips and experiences with farming. My kids were encouraged to run, swing, play, and make friends with his daughter Elisa, and their dog Bingo. After the tour Michael gave us choices to make drop off location more convenient, and even detoured to a playground for a bit so the kids could play together longer. Genuinely nice people, and a beautiful green lush farm. I would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing tour, great and detailed explanations. A very enjoyable afternoon! - Michael delivered exactly what was promised but on top of that he was SUPER thoughtful and caring with my mom who is 85 years old but wanted to go! Thank you Michael! We hope this endeavor continues to grow with your passion for it. We also enjoyed Elisa’s company and help!

A „must have seen“ in Antigua - It was such a pleasure to make this experience! Michael is a very heartly and welcoming host and it is heartwarming to see and feel his passion for what he does and developes! We were picked up by a stranger and left, as we‘d have met with a friend for some hours. Thanks a lot, Michael, Elisa and Bingo ;-)

Easy and interesting tour - It was an interesting day at a boutique family farm. We really enjoyed learning about the sustainability model and how he is trying to expand it beyond his own farm. That was a definite highlight of the trip as were the fresh tortillas made by Sarita. It is not a super polished presentation and there were interruptions by his four year-old daughter, all of which added to the charm of the day and the feeling of authenticity. She was a delight. And very much a reason for the farm’s existence. A fun little trip.

Amazing tour of coffee, avocados, honey, tortilla making, and sustainable farming! - Our experience at little green farm was phenomenal! Michael had picked us up from the town which was a lifesaver and he dropped us back. Throughout our drive to the farm we were able to ask questions about the everyday life for the nearby citizens. It was an amazing experience to fully understand the socioeconomic and economic differences from a native. We were able to see a differnt part of Antigua that was less touristy which we enjoyed. During the farm tour, micheal gave us a hands on experience on his sustainable farm, how the coffee business is, and an in depth explanation of the impacts his farm is able to give towards the community and sustainable farming in general. And lastly, he took great pictures of us for all parts of the tour: coffee, sustainable farming, avocados, and honey tour. It was so nice of him and his staff to do that for us. Would highly recommend to anyone! Also if you’re nervous about the bees- you don’t get very close to them!

Exceptional farm and the highlight of our trip! - We are seasoned travelers who care about sustainable food systems and preserving indigenous culinary know-how. So we are not easily impressed by industrial tourism and tours that feel unauthentic. Let me tell you, this was the highlight of our Guatemala trip and an exceptional personalized and passionate introduction to the world of the Little Green Farm. Michael, the owner, who manages the property with absolute brilliance and a care for every detail, is an inspiring and trend starting regenerative agriculture enthousiaste. He will pick you up and drop you off himself and would make sure you get hands on experience in the intricacies of coffee creation, tortilla cooking, and even Guacamole making! I can’t recommend this tour enough for everyone curious about what makes Guatemalan local produce so bountiful and tasty. The tour is also ideal for families. My 12 year old son had a blast, and so did I. This is not your average tour!
