  • Rubens House (Rubenshuis) - The house was the residence and studio of Peter Paul Rubens, one of the most influential painters of the Baroque period.

He lived and worked there for almost 30 years, from 1610 until his death in 1640.

  • Giant Antigoon severed hand statue - According to legend, the giant Druon Antigoon terrorized the city of Antwerp by demanding a toll from those wishing to cross the River Scheldt.

Those who refused to pay had their hands severed by the giant. The hero Brabo eventually defeated Antigoon by cutting off his hand and throwing it into the river.

  • Saint Charles Borromeo Church - The church is considered a masterpiece of Baroque architecture in the Low Countries.

Built by the Jesuits between 1615 and 1621, the church was initially dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
