Belgium’s second biggest city, Antwerp, is known for having one of the world’s largest ports. Its railway station is a marvel to behold and often touted as the most impressive in the world. The Our Lady Cathedral, the largest gothic cathedral in the Low Countries, houses innumerable priceless 17th-century artworks, with the standout pieces being those painted by Rubens. Our guided tour through the historical city commences at the imposing 13th-century castle that once protected the city and its docks. You’d be shown the gothic guild houses at the Market Square and the MAS-museum by the river Scheldt, where Antwerp was born, celebrated for its breathtaking views of the port and ancient city. In your spare time, be sure to sample the local beer known as a ’ Bolleke’.
