Additional Information

Explore El Caminito del Rey, one of the most sought-after and awe-inspiring destinations. Experience a tour set in a distinct natural landscape that takes you through a captivating trail across the Gaitanes gorge, located in the province of Malaga.

In 1921, El Caminito del Rey was christened after King Alfonso XIII, who visited the route. Over time, the path suffered from neglect and decay, transforming it into the most perilous route in Europe, which claimed several lives.

Thanks to comprehensive restoration efforts, El Caminito del Rey is now completely safe and navigable to all. Elements from the original construction by the Chorro Hydroelectric Society were incorporated into the present structure.

A parallel to the railway track presents an opportunity to stroll and relish the renowned journey through the Gaitanes gorge and the Gaitanejo.

The route spans over 7 kilometers from Ardales to Álora, packed with riveting experiences and unexpected wonders.

A fantastic adventure awaits nature enthusiasts, abundant with breathtaking vistas and opportunities for taking extraordinary photographs.

Big thumbs up - Really enjoyed the experience. The walk was spectacular and it was great getting an idea of how and why it was built from our guide. Loved the paths winding around cliff edges.

Only positive! - Very nice excursion to the Caminito del Rey. Our guide Léon gave us a wealth of information about Seville and the region. He made sure everything went well for us throughout the day. This was a very professional service which I recommend.

Beautiful day trip, excellent guidance. - Excellent guidance by Carlos Leon. We were delayed due to all the farmers' protests, but the atmosphere remained great thanks to Carlos. The guide was also arranged. Beautiful, relaxed, excellent explanation. The trip there and back was also excellent. Recommended!

nice - very helpfull stuff.I did not show on time at the meeting point( got little bit lost in the city) , but the guard lady ( unfortunatelly I do not know her name) figure out where and how to pick me up , so the other travel do not waite for their pick up time. She was also informative during the bus ride. Also the stuff in office were so nice. I did one trip by myself and 2 other trips with my friend.

A perfect day - Fantastic day activity! One of the most scenic and beautiful hikes in the area. The route is just stunning, the guides are informed and attentive, the whole experience is perfect. Overall the hike is pretty easy, but there are many steps and waking sticks are not allowed.

If you can't figure out how to go on your own, it's worth it. - It was good and I recommend it However, as a recommendation, I think that after doing the tour, it took a long time for the return bus to arrive to pick us up... Or maybe that was the time they agreed on... But we had to wait 45 minutes to be able to return.. ...I feel like it's a lot considering that there is nothing to do in the jet and if we can return to Seville faster and enjoy the city!

Nice day - Nice trip, even if we entered the caminito a little late in the afternoon (but not your fault). The visit to the town of Osuna inserted in the morning to compensate for the postponement of the entrance time to the park was very nice. Well done and helpful guides and the driver with a special mention for Ines: good and very nice!!! Nice experience, to be recommended. Everything organized down to the smallest detail, punctual and efficient.

Top ride, driving needs improvement - The Camino del Rey was a beautiful, spectacular experience that I would recommend to anyone passing through those parts. What we can criticize and comment on is the driving. Unfortunately, having limited language, I can say that they could improve on the Italian one, because he translated half of the things he said into Spanish. I think that if you book an excursion in Italian they should at least guarantee it. And with the same agency the day before, we had to cancel one because they hadn't warned us that they hadn't formed the Italian group and in the morning we found ourselves having to choose between Spanish and English. We insisted on obtaining a full refund, managing to do the excursion alone. But I think it was unprofessional. So make sure they organize everything.

Great Camino trail, poor value from tour company - The actual Caminito del rey was tremendous 5 stars. Doing it with this tour company not so good. Essentially we were charged a huge premium for what in the end was just the standard guided tour for 18 euros. No added value whatsoever for people like us who just wanted to join the tour without a bus ride from Malaga.
