Incredible food from lovely hosts - The food we cooked was delicious, they went through every step on what was going on. Everyone got involved and could be apart of making some aspects of the dishes. The food we made was fairly simple however as the saying goes it was simple but done very well. Some of the best Greek food I'd eaten all holiday! The recipes are accessible to recreate at home as no fancy tools were involved. Alex, one of the owners, also told us about the history of Greek food. He has a great passion for sharing his love of Greek food and it shows through his dishes. This was the first class I have ever done on my own and they made me feel so welcome. It was great talking to people from other countries too. My flight home was later that day and the owners made sure a taxi was arranged for me to get to the airport after the class. I even managed to get the tzatziki we made through airport security! My parents had visited the green frog prior to my joining them on the island and they also said that it was the best food they had all of their holiday. They were also greatful to the owners for making me feel so welcome once I was on my own.

Difficult to add much to all the other superlative reviews. - Although I ve been coming to the Ionian Islands - and many other parts of Greece - for thirty five years I Iearnt more about Greek culture and history in four hours than in all those decades. Also about the long history of Greek food and the key things which have influenced it. As a practical tutorial it is up their with the best - I ve had several lessons with the former Head Chef for twelve years of the Roux brothers' Waterside Restaurant in Bray. During that time it won its third Michelin star. Alex and his mother Mandy and their two helpers could not have been more charming or helpful.Unmissable - treat yourself - because you're worth it.

Simply Fantastic! - Of the five wonderful days My wife and I spent on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, we agree that attending this class was a real highlight. Alex was exceptional in sharing his knowledge of Greek and Zakynthos' history and the influences that the myriad of occupying cultures over the different periods of time had on the evolution of Greek food. It was not only very informative and entertaining but also offered a hands on opportunity for every participant to be a part of preparing every recipe which culminated in the sharing the completed meal which included those recipes. We'd certainly recommend it as a not to be missed activity in which to take part when visiting Zakynthos.

It was just incredibly fun! - It was a lot of fun cooking together and learning a lot about Greek food, its history and the development of Zakynthos. The ambience in the restaurant and the garden behind it is really beautiful. It was a great experience and we would book it again next time. The various cooking courses mean it certainly won't be boring!

Fun and informative - Highly recommend this class - Alex's passion for Greek food, the culture, and history of Agassi is contagious! We learnt to cook several recipes, which were e-mailed to us at the end of the class (in a very professional format - including pictures!). I attended the class by myself, and Alex and the team went out of their way to make sure I was included in the cooking and conversation.

An absolutely successful morning - Alex and his team gave us a warm welcome and we felt at home from the very first moment. There was a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere the whole time and Alex and his mother are two very inspiring people with lots of stories and perfect English. The course gives you an insight into Greek cuisine and also helps you understand menus. The dishes were delicious and explained so succinctly and skillfully that even a 6-year-old could cook them again. The cookbook with the recipes is also lovingly and beautifully designed. I would absolutely recommend this course to everyone.

Amazing experience!!! - I have done cooking classes in many countries, and this WAS. STELLAR! The combination of cooking technique lessons, local ingredients from their farm (not A farm, THEIR farm), and lessons on the complexity of Zakynthian and Grecian history as it relates to cuisine made this my favorite class EVER!! We made a ton of stuff: coffee, tea, a Greek donut with honey and currants, mousakka, tzaziki, Greek salad, feta saganaki, and baklava. There was also sampling of other products such as wine and cheeses. The location was a shaded patio that couldn’t be more romantic, and the mother/son duo of teachers were adorable and knowledgeable. If I had to come up with a criticism, it would be that the class size was a little large for some of the demo portions. 12/10 would definitely recommend!! Don’t forget to grab a bottle of olive oil from their trees, harvested yearly, on your way out.
