A perfect way to take in the beauty of Kefalonia - A comfortable coach journey and a passionate, informative hostess made this day truly enjoyable as we travelled the length of this beautiful Ionian island. Timing was well-managed to ensure we had space and time to enjoy all of the attractions and it's left me wanting to explore the island even further. Don't save it for the end of your trip- do this one early so that you have the rest of the holiday to soak all of Kefalonia up!

Island Tour - We took this tour as a way to see more of the island. We were contacted the day before to confirm the details of our trip.Prompt pickup at the Lassi office where we met Katerina our guide, and Spyros our driver. Katerina was highly knowledgeable and informative about Kefalonia's history and Spyros certainly could handle those mountain roads! Our trip consisted of visits to the nunnery where St Gerasimos is buried and the Church of The Virgin Mary,a beautiful church with stunning frescos. Orealiis Gaia vineyard whete we enjoyed 4 different types of wine including the Robola. It's quite an interesting talk and the wine was very good as well. We bought a couple of bottles to have back home. We were meant to visit the caves at Drogarati and Melissani then onto Fiskardo for lunch, but, there was a cruise ship in Argostoli today, meaning the queues would be horrendous especially in the strong heat so Katerina mixed it up a bit and we went to Fiskardo first. Lunch here at the quayside was amazing. It really is a beautiful place, with some of the remnants of the big earthquake that devastated Kefalonia in the 50s. After lunch it was a photo stop high above Myrtos beach, where they filmed scenes for Captain Correliis Mandolin. The reason we decided to visit this beautiful island in the first place. We were able to visit the caves, and,as the cruise ship parties had departed were able to walk tight in. Melisani cave is spectacular. The wateris so clear and the boatman was very knowledgeable telling us the history of the cave. It's about 20 steps down to the boats so not too bad. I couldn't manage the Drogarati cave as Katerina said it was about 120 steps and unfortunately my knee wouldn't manage it. Back onto the coach and retracing our route back to Argostoli and Lassi. Special praise for Katerina who,as I said was very knowledgeable. Her commentary on the history of the islands people and its geological past was fascinating. She certainly come across as someone who is passionate about her island and, after seeing a brief part of it you cant blame her. Efcharisto Katerina.

Excellent Tour of Kefalonia - We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Katarina. She was extremely friendly and so knowledgeable about the island, including the history, tourism, and Greek myths and legends. We felt like we learned a lot about Kefalonian people and the island itself. We would highly recommend the full day tour of the island with Katarina to anyone who wants to explore and learn about Kefalonia. From Niko and Amy

Excursion to remember - It’s been absolutely worth it and I was sorry it was over at the end of the trip. Sunka was great host and she knew we acryl how to guide us with historical, or any other information while enjoying the trip. She is the best host of excursion I have ever had and I do those a lot. I liked also the concept of what we have seen, what was shared and the timing of it, in one day I have seen quiet a lot but came energised home. I definitely recommend !

Fantastic tour of the island ! - Fantastic trip, couldn’t recommend enough! Doshka our tour guide was very knowledgeable with loads of facts about Kefalonia and she looked after a coach full of people very attentively. The tour was enjoyable with lots of different stops and we feel we got to see Kefalonia without having to rent a car. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour/ and tour guide.

Great experience - The tour was great, and tour guide Maria is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Kefalonia. As someone whose family was born and raised on this island, I really appreciated the it. I recommend doing the tour in the beginning of your trip, because in the end of the tour you will have a new list of things you’ll want to see/do more of! The only “downside” is if you get motion sick, there’s a lot of winding roads, but bus driver did a great job as well.

Great bus tour - Amazing tour, which was well-thought out and made by our guide for the day, ‘Duska’. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, immensely knowledgeable and dedicated herself to the tour group during every second of the day. Absolutely first-class Kefalonia Tours, she needs a serious pay-rise! She was literally capable of giving the full tourist guide experience, whether explaining culture or covering Greek and Kafalonian history from start of time to present in a way that appeals to all ages and demographics. Trust me, if you are reading this and thinking about booking the tour, just do it! Tips: Bring water, though there are plenty of stops with shops en-route. Try to have some change/lower denomination notes for cave tours and tips. You may need to chase up coach pick-up location the day before. Initial communication the day before could have been better but they quickly fixed this when chased.

An amazing experience touring the island and caves of Kefalonia! - We booked to go on the Kefalonia Island tour to visit the caves, see Myrtos beach and go wine tasting. The whole process was so smooth and easy, Georgia looked after us straight away and spoke us through the different tours they offer and which one best suited our needs. She was so lovely and really helpful and gave us a lot of ideas to fill our time on the island after our tour. The tour guide Duska was so informative and helpful, she spoke everyone through each point of the trip and we got to learn a lot about the history of the island which was really interesting. Costa the coach driver was great too. We spent a full day visiting different parts of the island, starting with the Churches to learn about the saint, then wine tasting where we got to learn how to properly taste wine and tried Rombola (wine exclusive to Kefalonia). We then headed to the lookout at Myrtos beach and got some fabulous photos, before going to the local village of Fiscardo to enjoy a lovely lunch. We then stopped at two caves on the way back and enjoyed a boat ride inside the cave. I couldn’t recommend Georgia, Duska and the trip more. We will definitely be coming back to Kefalonia in the future. Thank you Georgia for finding this trip for us and making our holiday so special.
