Highlights
  • Aswan - You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and then transferred to the Aswan Train Station, arriving in Luxor in approximately 4 hours.
  • Valley of the Kings - Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be taken to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
  • Howard Carter House - Next, visit the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. The house, surrounded by a garden on a barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed at the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the tomb’s discovery.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Then, visit the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Discover her beautiful temple and her intriguing story with her nephew.
  • Art Valley Alabaster Factory - After that, you will have the chance to visit the alabaster factory, where people still bring stones from the quarry and craft them into various handmade items, just like the ancient Egyptians.
  • Tombs of the Nobles - Luxor - Next, move to the Valley of the Nobles, which houses the tombs of nobles in Luxor, such as Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 other Theban nobles. These tombs, marked by numbers, feature beautifully carved scenes. Nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum, there are more than 400 tombs.
  • Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Then, proceed to the Ramesseum Temple, considered the memorial (or mortuary) temple of Pharaoh Ramses II. Located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt, on the west bank of the Nile, across from modern Luxor, the design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple adheres to the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.
  • Habiba Hand Weaving - Next, visit Habiba for hand weaving, specializing in hand-woven scarves made from Egyptian cotton, linen, and wool. Local hand weavers also sell machine-made scarves and shawls in cotton and cotton blends. Located in a rural setting on the west bank of Luxor with views of the nobles’ tombs, women still work and make handmade cloth from pure cotton, giving you the experience of how they use hand-operated machines.
  • Colossi of Memnon - Stop for a photo in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon.
  • Temple of Karnak - Return to the east bank to see the largest temple ever built, Karnak Temple, constructed over 2000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. Take some nice pictures among its huge pillars and obelisks.
  • Aswan - Finally, transfer to Luxor Train Station to catch your train back to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be driven back to your hotel in Aswan.
