Ouarzazate - Next, visit The Kasbah of Telouet, also known as Glaoui Palace, constructed in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It is located in the small Berber village of Telouet, within the rural town in the High Atlas Mountains. The most notable resident was Thami El Glaoui. The current kasbah, built in 1860 by the Glaoua, stands beside the remnants of an older kasbah. It was significantly expanded in the early twentieth century by Thami El Glaoui. According to legend, 300 workers spent three years adorning the ceilings and walls with intricate stucco, zelliges, and painted cedar. The roofs are covered with green ceramic tiles, resulting in a series of grand buildings with richly decorated interiors.
