Great tour, aims for the shade and avoids crowds - A great tour experience overall. We hit all of the major ruins without it feeling too slow. Our tour guide Tinatin was very friendly and well spoken (English). The only thing i felt was missing was pictures explaining who the ruins looked when originally built.

Check the time allocation - The guide was very knowledgable and we enjoyed her insights. However, the tour was supposed to be 3 hours in total and it turned out to be much longer. We needed to abandon the tour at the Museum and race through on our own so that we could get to our next appointment.

Tour cancelled at last minute - As requested, we arrived at the designated meeting site at 8:30 for the 9:00 tour and checked in with the coordinator. We sat with the rest of the group, patiently waiting. When 9:15 rolled around, we questioned the coordinator on the status of our tour departure, we were told that the guide was involved in an accident, and they were trying to get a replacement. A few minutes later we were informed that the 9:00 tour was cancelled and that they were trying to get someone to do a 10:00 tour. We had a tight timeline and could not wait, especially with no guarantees that the next tour would depart on time. The coordinator gave us a terrible time with refunding our money. After 30 minutes of arguing with us and a lot of calls back and forth with her corporate office, she finally agreed to a full refund. At my insistence, she also agreed to put the refund in writing (see attached). Part of our frustration was there was no communication of what was going on at their end and had we not inquired, we would have been sitting in the dark for a long time. As a side note, we happened to walk by the meeting place around 10:30 and much of the same group was still waiting…We only had one day in Athens and because of all of this, missed our chance to visit any of the historical sites we wanted to see…very disappointing! I am pleased to report that we did receive the full refund, as promised.
