- The duration of tours are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Our agency works with professional tour guides who are independent contractors. They are contracted for a duration of 4 hours per tour. The total duration of each tour, which ranges from 4 to 5 hours, takes into account the time spent on transportation from the client’s pickup location and the traffic conditions on the booked date and time
- Cape Sounio extension adds ~4-5 hours to the overall tour duration
- Cape Sounio extension does not include professional tour guide and entrance fees, travellers are visiting the site by themselves and this portion of the tour is conducted by an english speaking, history-proficient driver and potentially a tour host depending on availability on the tour date
- Post Covid 19 Policy: Vehicles will be sanitized before every pick up. Hand sanitizing done before departure and after every major stop. Face masks available for clients. Guides will wear facemasks and use microphone when guiding. Fresh trash bag will be place in every vehicle and waste will be destroyed at the end of the tours.

Amazing day in Athens! - Fabulous experience! Well worth every cent we paid! Our driver Pericles and our tour guide Paris were excellent! Paris was so knowledgeable and very accommodating! His love for his Greek culture and customs shone through as he led us through the Acropolis and downtown Athens! We were a party of 12 and we would all highly recommend Viator! It was a score!

Great tour in Athens!! - Effy our tour guide was amazing! She is a great storyteller and was well informed about everything we saw. It was a perfect tour for our short time in Athens, we hit all of the major sites. We appreciated the additional shopping advice and stopping to grab a quick lunch. It could not have been a more perfect day.

Half day tour of Athens - We really enjoyed this tour!! Excellent guide (Efi), very knowledgeable!! Driver was awesome as well. They were on time picking us up, and drop off, did exactly what we wanted to see and do, it was perfect!!

The best way to experience history - We had the most amazing guide and fabulous driver! Our guide a lovely Greek female archeologist who was so knowledgeable, personable and made the tour one the highlights of our Mediterranean trip. The driver Adam was professional and friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

Unforgettable Athens private tour! - What an amazing day! Alex picked us up on a private air-conditioned Mercedes Benz van. Then we picked up Virginia (Guide with history and archeology degree, versed in several languages). We then got dropped off at the Acropolis with her and walked right in with our tickets (provided). There we spent 2.5 hrs as she explained the history, architecture of the Parthenon, and other structures in the Acropolis. After that Alex picked us up and showed us different points in the city of Athens. We got to see the changing of the guards at Constitution square. They gave us options of drop off point ( go back to cruise boat or free time). We chose to go and have lunch. Virginia’s restaurant recommendation was great! We had authentic lamb gyros, Mussaka, Greek salad and baklava. Delicious! Then we took a taxi (readily available) to go back to the cruise ship. Both Alex and Virginia made this private trip worth every dollar! Highly recommended! We did not have to wait for 20 other people to take pictures, go to the restroom or buy water. It was tailored to us and, therefore, we spent 4hrs doing exactly what we wanted! Thank you, Virginia, we learned so much from you! Thank you Alex, your experience as a guard was extremely interesting and shows the commitment and excellence in character! Thank you!

Athens with Theo - This one trip for 8 hrs and we had seen all the important sites of Athens. We began early morning with the Acropolis, our guide was so helpful with her insights on every single detail and history of the Acropolis. We then did all the other historical sites of Athens in the city. Our driver and guide Theo then drove us to the temple of Posideon which is around 1 hour from the city, had amazing Greek Seafood lunch on the way. Theo kept us entertained through the trip. Cheers

Pretty good - While in Athens, our "must do" was to visit the Acropolis/Parthenon and wanted to make the most of our time with a driver and guide. It was nice to have someone get us to the front of the line and also provide details of such a historic area. We were however somewhat disappointed that our guide, Effie, seemed distracted with her phone. Maybe there was something personal going on. Also, we had included a museum visit with our tour but had about a 30 minute delay as the tour co had the wrong date on our tickets. All in all, we're still glad we had a private tour but just wish based on what we paid that it would have rated 5 stars.
