- Central Market Athens - We will visit the meat, fish, spice and fruit markets and see how Athenians do their daily shopping. We will meet the traders and sit down and eat a meal close to the market. On Sundays we do not visit the markets as they are shut so we visit a honey and olive oil producer for a tasting. - Evripidou - We will visit the spice shop area, with deli shops, honey stores, olives and olive oil stores, owned by local families

Discover authentic, fresh, traditional food in non-touristy, hidden spots of the city! Explore food and places you might not find on your own! Visit local streets where we see, taste, and shop for cheese, cured meat, fruits, sweets, and spices in vibrant markets full of color, scents, and noise. Sample olives, oil, and honey from a farmer, and enjoy local wine made on site.
4:00 PM tours will catch most of the market as it starts to close. On Sundays, the markets are closed, so we visit a taverna to enjoy traditional food with ouzo and local wine. Visit a delicatessen, a spice shop, and a producer of olive oil and honey. You’ll also savor Greek coffee and yogurt from a local producer.
Over 20 tastings are offered, including sit-down meals of meat and fish on all tours. Learn about Greek culture and meet the locals. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. Note: Vegan options are not available on Sundays. Discounted rates are offered for children.

Happy to book - We all had such a great time. Friendly, knowable and with sense of humor tour guid.
A lot of walking but not tiring. Made friends. Would recommend to any one. Agency was open and quick to communicate and answer questions. I booked, by mistake, this tour in French language and was able to change my booking in last minute without any extra fees. We enjoyed. Thank you

A highlight of our trip to Greece - This is an amazing tour. Rachael our guide was such a fun , happy and knowledgeable guide and made everyone in the group feel welcome. We booked this after being on a week long cruise where we mainly ate american fare. This tour gets you the best of greek food with lots of historical information and visits to places you'd never otherwise find. We highly recommend this tour - you won't be disappointed! If you have an afternoon and a big appetite for delivious food you won't want to miss this!

Excellent food and learning experience - What a fun and informative tour. Our guide lives and grew up in Athens and led us through Athens visiting places most tourists do not see. We ate and drank as Athenians do. The food was plentiful and tasty. Our group had an excellent appreciation of the Greek lifestyle and food that creates the Mediterranean diet. Recommend doing the tour for lunch as there is much to taste. Highly recommend it!

This tour puts the FOOD in food tour. - From the moment we met our guide Arela we knew the tour was going to be fun and relaxed , we were glad it was a walking tour as you got a real feel for the City and it’s locally run businesses. We kicked off with some lovely Spanokopita which had the crunchiest crispiest filo pastry and really whet our appetite for the tastings that were to follow. The olives and EVOO, the cheeses and meats, the honey, the souvlaki with zucchini fritters, traditional Greek coffee but to name a few things we tried along the way. It culminated with a great shared lunch. The tour moved at a really nice pace and we learnt so many fun facts along the way. It’s a great way to get a taste of the local food gems available in Athens.

Excellent - Learned alot about Greek food culture and different foods, fruits and spices from Mike. Don't eat right before this tour as there are many different things to taste and eat including drinks a couple of places.

One of the best food tours we’ve been on! - This was a highlight of our time in Athens! Our hosts Arela and Sam were incredibly knowledgeable and fun to hang out with. The tour was well balanced in learning about the food, drink, and culture with eating and drinking. We try to do food tours in every city we visit and this was one of our favorites!

Excellent tour! - What an excellent tour! Arella was a perfect guide and so friendly and inviting. We had a group of 6, 7 including her. We had a wonderful time and went to so many local and hidden gems. 10/10 recommend! The fish market smells a little but it’s to be expected. It’s also over quickly, besides, it’s cool to see where all the seafood and meat comes from and the overall marketplace. I cannot recommend this tour enough, so much knowledge! Myself and my 12 year old daughter took the tour and she tried almost everything, too! She enjoyed it.

The BEST FOOD TOUR of your life! - I’ve been on 6 food tours and this by far is THE. BEST. Rachel truly loves giving food tours and it shows!! Only the very best foods were served!
