Fascinating and Inspiring Tour With An Amazing Guide!! - Our Guide, Alex (Aslanidid) was OUTSTANDING and a wonderful person!!! He is extremely knowledgeable about Greek history, phylosophy and culture. He demonstrates great passion for his job and made our Tour come alive with his fascinating lecture and visual enhancements through his Ipad. Alex captivated our attention and enriched our Tour by also demonstrating the impact Greece had on the world in terms of establishing a foundation for Democracy, Theature, Science, Phylosophy, Sports and Classical Arts. He inspired me and others to want to learn more about Greek history and phylosophy.

Great tour- bring snacks! - Fantastic tour! Easy to find the meeting spot, and well thought out. I definitely recommend having Alternative Athens but your tickets in advance so you don’t have anything to worry about. It a lot of walking and standing, often in heat, so water and a snack in your bag is advised. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, and she navigated the craziness of the Acropolis with ease. We loved this experience.

Great mythology lesson and sights - If you like mythology, this tour is for you. However, it is very detailed so be ready to hear many stories if that’s what you like. You get to see numerous sites.

A snapshot of Ancient Greece - This tour was a great way to sample some of the most important historical features of Ancient Greece. Thanos was an excellent guide for our small group with personal anecdotes and academic summaries of what and where we visited.

Stunning Architectural Heritage a must but check and double check what you pay for! - Unfortunately it was not made clear at the time of purchase that the price paid for the tour did not include entry to the Acropolis! That highlight had to be purchased as an extra on sight at the time causing considerable concern as we missed our time slot on the tour.. Also the length of the tour was too long in the heat of the day with no rest stops or refreshment stops along the way
